With lots of Classic Eggman + Eggrobos popping up on eBay and in stores now, I just noticed that there's already a 2nd paint variant floating around. It seems some of the Eggman's have the white 'reflection' line on his glasses, where others don't. It's a minor thing, but interesting enough for collectors out there! WITHOUT WHITE on glasses: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Classic-DR-IVO-ROBOTNIK-EGGMAN-figure-EGGROBOS-20th-/360389045259?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53e8dc6c0b#ht_592wt_1165 WITH WHITE on glasses: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sonic-Hedgehog-figure-20th-Dr-Eggman-Eggrobos-1994-/250880748085?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a69a86a35#ht_500wt_1413 Regardless, it's damn satisfying to finally see a classic Eggman toy out there!
Updated my pics and did a Super saiyan shoot http://myfigurecollection.net/profile/jackskellinghog/pictures/ Moonshadowcaz eat your heart out <3~ Also: http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/835/img5807yr.jpg What the fuck, I thought Modern Sonic through time looked horrible, y'know a re-release of the normal Modern one, I'm now very much confused. If someone could buy one for me and ship it, I'd be happy to pay <3~ Also could someone tell me what these things are? They don't look like they are worth that price http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Super-Sonic-Hedgehog-figure-20th-Tin-SET-RARE-MOC-/220840992982?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336b2620d6#ht_964wt_1135
the 6 pack of figures there are awesome as I own them already, only problem I have is that my amy likes to keep falling backwards and my sonic has a slightly warped foot so he wobbles easily, but they are the best sonic figures I've ever owned PLUS THEY ARE NOT BALL JOINTED SHIT! solid for live yo!
Warped figures in this set seems to be a problem. Simply run them under a hot tap to soften the plastic, gently remould the affected area, hold in place and cool them down. Works wonders, and doesn't damage them at all.
Your Amy falls over all the time too? quite the unstable figure. Most of my figures are pretty good otherwise though
Got the Eggman set and the Super Sonic set. Also, I noticed a few things not mentioned in this thread: They had classic Super Sonic and classic Sonic in the three inch size? The same size as the figures with the badniks. Anyway, these came with a "collector's tin" packaged in. I pondered picking up the Super Sonic, but it was 14.99-- for the same price, I got bigger figures of both Super Sonics. Also, in the 9.99 w/badniks variety, there was a Silver figure. Not sure if that is news to anyone... my first time seeing one. I wish they made a classic Knuckles but it doesn't appear they did. I settled for ole Purple Eyes (I fucking hate the purple eyes... I'm shocked that no one rages over that. It's all bawww green eyes)
I took it upon myself to modify the 3 inch Knuckles into a Classic-esque Knuckles. Classic Sonic and Tails only have one joint a body part, so I took out one joint on each of Knuckles' limbs to make him closer to Classic sized. I just need to see about making his eyes black. Here's a pic with Classic Sonic for comparison: Mind you, reattaching his joints was a bitch.
Not bad, I completed my set of the 3.5 inch figures sans the eggmen. So far this is what I'm seeing as labeled under the 20th Anniversary line: 3.5 Inch Figures with Badnik(s) 1991 - Classic Sonic 1992 - Classic Tails 1994 - Classic Eggman 1998 - Modern Sonic 2000 - Shadow (actually 2001) 2003 - Modern Knuckles 2006 - Silver 2008 - Modern Eggman 2010 - Modern Tails Sonic Through Time 5 Inch Figures 1991 - Classic Sonic 2011 - Modern Sonic Super Sonic Two-Pack (Toys R Us Exclusive) Super Poser Re-release Sonic Shadow Tails Knuckles F4F Re-release Classic Sonic, Amy, Metal Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Super Sonic set Am I missing anything? What else is coming out that we know is definite, and what else is out that I might've missed? I left out the plush dolls, as I'm only concerned with the blister-packed action figures. Like I said, I'm still keeping my eyes open for the Eggman sets and I didn't get to buy the F4F set when it was originally released so I'll be picking that up, the Super Posers I have no interest in and never really have.
It isn't really it's own figure per se, but there is a Classic Super Sonic along with a tin (with an image of Generations' Classic sonic on it) somewhere out there for around fifteen dollars. I assume the tin holds the figure or something. EDIT: It would seem there's one with regular Classic Sonic as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Sonic...982?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item336b2620d6 Might be even more than that with the Modern variants, who knows.
Every so often sega's blog has something interesting. Insert Coin Clothing is now licensing their UK exclusive t-shirts in the "United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Europe Middle East Africa."
Shit son, I'm a bit too old to be playing with figures nowadays, but that Classic Sonic is fucking epic. Anywhere I can get that thing in the UK!??
Nowhere. Yet, at least. The entire Jazwares 20th Anniversary line has started showing up on some wholesales websites. Keep an eye on places like GAME, Argos and Toys R Us.
Ironic that there are Metal Gear Solid or Modern Warfare shirts and the like for kids, but rno Sonic shirts. I love the Eggman shirt.
So apparently there is a Classic Eggman 7" plush now available - although it's not appeared on the US Toys R Us website, it's now on their Canadian site. It says it's manufactured by Red Planet like the other 20th plushies, but the plush pictured is most definitely from the rare Sonic the Fighters line. What gives? Anyone spot the classic plush in person?
