I was going to say, "That's just a nendoroid thing," but looking at the other figures, they're a bit more even in how they adapt the designs to that SD style. Personally, I don't like the Sonic that much which is why I wouldn't buy the Tails even though I think that one looks decent.
I'm also thinking I'll buy this one, although I now have so many that I'm seriously starting to worry my chrome/glass shelving unit will collapse under the pressure. I normally only buy the classic ones, but this is sort of... "Classic becomes Modern", so I can make that exception I think. It's also a tragedy F4F never made a Classic Amy; the collection is incomplete without her.
On the one hand, I respect them committing to recreating the bad 90's texture surrounding the logo. On the other hand, this thing would've been sick with a more neutral stand.

Ordered mine this morning. I was provided 2 coupons for this and neither of them worked, but I figured it wasn't worth the effort to be reimbursed. Anyone else pick one up or have an issue using the coupons?
A random but interesting observation nonetheless; Certain places (in this case the website https://geekyzone.co.uk) sell a product called the… ‘Sonic The Hedgehog Comic On’s Wall Decoration - Sonic And Miles Tails Prower’. Here’s a photo from their website: Now check out SEGA’s official store: This leads me to the conclusion that the first one is an earlier prototype, as I’ve seen these in shops and the Official SEGA Shop one is definitely the one. I doubt there’s variations but I guess I could be wrong (I doubt it). The first one looks quite like a lot of the mid-late 1990’s to 2000’s classic Sonic art that appeared on merch repeatedly.
