Maybe at one point she was but she was removed during a rewrite?
it's far more reasonable that she had nothing to do with frontiers and was just snuck in for other reasons
He knows for sure, lol. That was a confirmation
I’ve always assumed the purple hair girl was based on Sonic Unleashed concept art that didn’t make it into the final game, since she was alongside Professor Pickle and the other Unleashed NPCs.
The thing I'm fearing the most with this game, it's that the atmosphere could be gloomy and doomy.
I really do miss a more shonen era of Sonic. I hated the meta era because it was an unfunny mess with non-engaing stories, but I really hope they wont do a 180 degree turn, and make everything super serious.
It's Sonic Team after all, so You never know.
I'm hoping for something akin to Unleashed, it was well balanced, both playful and serious when it had to.
The game definitely has a good mix of seriousness and humor. It's largely serious but there's enough playfulness that it never diminishes it.
In other news, uhhhhhhhh this is surprising.
After seeing a bunch of boss fight spoilers, all I could think of was how they're giving Super Sonic the focus I'd wanted for years. Man, the gameplay and music make my inner kid so giddy. Love the spectacle they gave to those fights.
Oh, and also that I need to get my hands on that soundtrack ASAP. There are some real nice tracks in there.
So I have to beat the ENTIRE game on hard to get the true boss?
You just need to be on Hard Mode when you start the boss.
I need to praise the vocals for the main theme (I'm Here). They're very well done and heartfelt.
You are not invulnerable while boosting, I can confirm.
The weirdo that I am, I managed to look into the credits without spoiling me on the final boss etc....and no PSO2:NGS people are nowhere to be seen even in a special thanks thing or w/e. Otherwise it's typical staff really.
Gotta look out for him, as lead game designer and involvement in writing, he seems the next up and coming Sonic creator
Spotted an interresting name with Takeshi Ozawa however, he has long been associated with JRPGs at Sega, from Valkyria Chronicles 1 as a lead designer to being director of the recent Shining Resonance Refrain. He did Game Design (same with Sakura Wars), so I'm sure his experience had an influece.
If only Toshihiro Nagoshi would've stayed at Sega. I would've killed to see his vision for Sonic.
An interresting one, because even as CCO of Sega and doing many interviews he never once commented on Sonic.
24 in total.
Wait, how many islands? 3 or 5?
There are five islands, Kronos, Ares, Chaos, Rhea, and Ouranos.
Kronos, Rhea, and Ouranos share the same biome and assets.
Rhea Island is the smallest island, story heavy, and has no Cyber Space levels or puzzles.
In the narrative, Ouranos and Rhea are treated as part of Kronos.
Oh I see. So it’s effectively 3 islands.
The reuse of and lack of assets is a big problem, it seems.
The final island is only slightly smaller than the others and have structures and level design not seen on Kronos, so I'd call that four.
Rhea could have literally been part of Kronos and it wouldn't be a problem. Ouranos is fine.
