A quick search - the closest font I could find was "Pump Triline PFL" (the PFL variant seems to have more symmetrical Es). But yes the E is wrong. Because despire being called "triline" that middle stalk doesn't have three lines.
The E that's used in this case upon further looking at things is actually a manipulation of the W glyph for Pump Triline (identical in both versions) where the strokes have been cut off and the whitespace between the main strokes has been condensed. I played around with it for a while but adjusting whitespace without distorting paths has never been my strong suit. :X
I have no idea if these are connected. Probably just co-incidence, with over 25 years between usage. Thanks to a helpful anon, who pointed it out in the comments of the SG-1000 Junkyard article.
