For me, the worst part isn't just how bad the design itself is. It's how this is meant to be Remington, a character whose original design was almost universally liked, and one of Ken's few male Echidnas that didn't look like a complete Knuckles clone. (Partly due to his hair and dark skin)

And then he completely overhauls him into an unrecognizable design with a stupid mustache and trucker hat, and lightens his skin color to look more like Knuckles. It's just baffling.

He doesn't even own Knuckles, and yet barely changes him from his M25YL design, but Remington he overhauls? Seriously?

Wait, does he actually have publishing rights to those comics?

He'd have to ask SEGA first I think, and afaik they've decanonized that series entirely, so what rights would he have at all to resell those stories featuring fucking SEGA IPs??



The only way I think he could do this is by replacing every mention of "knuckles," echidna, angel island, mobious, and any other sonic character with his own made up shit, andor cut out any not-his characters from the books entirely.

And that sounds like far too much effort for this hack.

 

Y'know, one question I just wondered about - how does this guy even earn money at PRESENT? Surely, he can't be living off royalties alone, and most surely, no one is insane enough to hire him anymore.

 

If I were to hazard a guess, I would say donations in part.

 

Also probably wife/kids incomes if nothing else

Jesus christ this guy needs to get a life. Plus they haven't used mogul in almost 5 years, so why is this even an issue?

This whole thing is making me sick, I understood where Penders was coming from at first but now it seems like he's actively antagonising Sega, advertising himself (all publicity is good publicity, you can't tell me he doesn't have ironic fans because of all this) and I wouldn't be surprised if he convinced Scott Flop to sue Sega as well.

I think creators should be given their due, but it's equally the creator's fault for not going over their own contracts right at the start to ensure they WOULD get their due without all this nonsense.
