If you can take the time to format your text in an annoying way, OL can take the time to request that you stop.
Yeah, font coloring is a thing, but we're not allowed to use it. //forums.sonicretro.org/public/style_emoticons/default/v.png
For what it's worth, the only reason font colouring hasn't been disabled entirely is because for some situations such as highlighting sections of code formats it does have uses. However anything more than that and you get users regularly using it for entire posts, along with custom fonts, and it ends up looking like the fucking sega.com boards. No-one wants that, hence unless you have a bloody good reason for it, you don't change font colours/formatting from the default.
I sincerely apologize for a lack of clarification and specificity. When I mistakenly referred to SEGA, I meant Sonic Team. And, SoNick, while I do understand your request for privacy, the paper isn't done yet. This is another segment of it. I'm doing this as a hobby and way to pass the time, I will make errors in asking questions, we (because it's my editor and I) occasionally slip up. The paper, if you so desire, will be uploaded here in full, after we remove our real names from it, when it is done. But it is not done yet.
What you see is what you get, just a guy who loves adven- I haven't really had time to fully answer the survey, but good luck with your paper! Compiling community perspectives is an interesting endeavor, so I hope you get some rich results.
The difference is I fully intend to release this paper when it is done, after clearing my real name from the online release, of course. I am planning on publishing. Secondly, I, or to be more precise, we (I have an editor,) are simply two people with a lot of time and a proclivity towards asking questions. We will not state your names, online or otherwise, and we simply are gathering data. I understand that this paper seems to be taking a long time, but remember that we are hobbyists first and foremost, and have been working off and on for a while. We only meet twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so it will take time.
I honestly think they're fine, they just need to rebuild and revise ideas instead of nostalgia pandering. Have some things for new players, while still retaining some momentum for old veterans. Spend more quality, time, and effort while making games. Just like every other game company. Also hopefully they still keep some series up and running like Yakuza and others.
I see this sentiment all the time and it's sourced from Sega's console games division being a spectacular failure since the early post-Dreamcast days. It's a complete misconception however as Sega's console games division (which of note is doing much better these days with the likes of the success of Yakuza, Persona and so on) is completely separate from Sega Sammy Holdings, their parent company which is cash-rich, moderately successful and absolutely not going anywhere any time soon meaning Sega and every division of it isn't disappearing in to the void of space in the near future either. Sega has a bright future because its parent company is consistent and doing extremely well. Unless Sega Sammy Holdings takes an unexpected nosedive Sega isn't going anywhere.
