Figured this was worth it's own thread, but Tetsu Okano has been very vocal on twitter recently about the desire to have the Dreamcast legend Segagaga translated into English. (Links to: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2, Screenshot 3, Screenshot 4). Here's also a summary that Time Extension did about this). Apparently, this was sparked by a reference to the game that was included in the recent PS5 game Astro Bot (Okano mentions this on Twitter, but doesn't provide in game-screencaps) Since 2014, Okano has operated his own studio, but it's rather neatly timed with the Dreamcast's 25th anniversary, and a certain fan recreation that's being done by one of the members here He's also been sharing some development tidbits such as removed content, why the game was made in secret, why Sonic is in it, and how they got Toei to animate it EDIT: Added a 4th tweet and screenshot
I actually posted it in the Playstation 5 thread but since it seems more appropriate I'll move it here. The final boss has a section that is maybe a reference to Segagaga, could be couldn't be its a bit vague, but Spoiler: Astro Bot Final Boss/Sega Reference You use your Dualsense ship paired with Sony Consoles in a Shmup style section with Rising Blue Lightning from Thunder Force V blasting.
