Sega Europe is going to announce the European release date for 3D Classics Collection this Friday on a live stream. Kinda seems like a bad idea to do this live while letting people ask them questions. I imagine people aren't too happy with them taking so long, and it'd be especially bad if it's a digital only release.
Kudos to everyone who participated in this campaign! It looks like it had quite the effect on Sega Europe. The results are just astonishing.
Not really tbh. Sega Europe is still terrible at releasing games here. The only thing that we likely affected was an incredibly late release of 3D Classics Collection that we still know nothing about aside from "it's coming", and a digital-only release of Project Diva X. They're still so unwilling to publish non-PC or mobile games here that Sega America had to get a different publisher to release the majority of their games in Europe.
Would be really nice if this included all the games from the Japanese volumes 1 and 2, rather than just renaming #2 but... yeah, better than nothing.
Ah okay. Thanks for the correction - guess this campaign only had minimal impact. I just thought with all the positive news posts that we were having an effect.

Awesome news! It looks like this campaign did achieve something even if it's just the release of one game. Kudos to everyone who participated!
I'm happy that we had some impact, small as it may have been. Now we need to actually buy this damn game to show to Sega that the money IS there if they're willing to make the effort to get it!
Agreed - everyone needs to go out and buy his. A Twitter campaign with photographic evidence is all well and good but Sega do need to be rewarded here for responding to their fans and that reward should come in the form of everyone buying the game. We need to show them the energy and effort is worth it and will give them a decent financial return. That should ensure that future releases are brought over for whatever else Sega may be working on in the near and distant future.
At this point I'd rather have Deep Silver handle the European releases over Sega Europe. At least with them it seems to be for certain that there'll be a physical release. That and they already confirmed that Persona 5 will be released here on the same day as in the US so that's nice.
Yeah the Persona news was pretty great as was the Deep Silver news in general. Hopefully Deep Silver will handle most of the releases allowing them to show up here.
Granted, but even if we assume Deep Silver is doing them all going forward it doesn't hurt to show there IS demand. =P
But, I only did this to help you guys out! I don't even have a 3DS, so it's pointless in me buying it =P Also, where's my tenner? XD
Understood. It would be pointless you buying the game but I appreciate your energy and effort in supporting the campaign. Kudos. As for your tenner to be honest I'm still strapped for cash as of late but I haven't forgotten about it. As soon as I have the cash available which should hopefully be in the near future I'll Paypal it over.
Ah awesome! That's really cool of you and I appreciate it. I'm still struggling somewhat financially so a tenner is a lot to me these days. Thank you.
It's NA-only? God damn it. I just saw it and was super excited for it. We need this to come to Europe. I agree and say we reboot the campaign.
I'm game if you lot are. What's the tag? Still #TakeMyMoneySoE? Or #SonicManiaCEtoEU? Or 'Crappy Blue Luigi's' #TakeMyRingsSoE? =P
