Tails in Sonic 1 v1.1

    How is this different from the Tails in Sonic XD? Just curious.

    it's a standalone version. and it flies. and it's perfect.

    Whatever catches my fancy
    I assume that's because of lack of VRAM space, which can't really be helped unless you're willing to completely overhaul the art loading scheme (like, using dynamically reloaded patterns rather than pattern load queues - dunno if that's even possible in S1).

    Anyway, brilliant!

    Yeah, I thought this would be with the Tails, this is nothing that hasn't been done before, except maybe the flying...

    You dissapointed me for the first time, drx. Not that I'm saying this didn't take work, but if you're willing to do 3/4 of the work, why not the rest?

    Okay then, tell me who ported the art and mappings for tails before drx? Tell me who ported the entire Tails object, before drx?

    I'm sick of this kind of attitude.

    This is beautiful work, drx! (though a bit buggy) I would have said this sooner, but I was at work and not logged in.

    It's awesome, Just a few glitches after you land when flying and sometiems the same withthe spindash. Although it is mostly perfect.

    Hmmm this is looking quite nice!

    To avoid the palette problems, have you tried changing one of the reds in the first palette for one of Tails' oranges instead of the last yellow color?

    And about Tails' tails, perhaps Stealth can help with that, as he managed to expand Sonic 1's VDP space for the main character's dynamic graphic tiles somehow, for Knuckle's sprites.

    There's always a way to make space in the VRAM. That's not a problem at all.

    Rika claims he ported the entire Tails object... Then he must have added extra flight. Swimming, while cool, would be extra-extra. I doubt he'd put the swimming in a higher priority than the tails though.

    He still swims, he just doesn't show the correct animation. Same with getting tired after flying for a while.

    Hopefully drx will give us a "rev01" like stealth did. *wink wink*

    2. Swimming just lacks an animation.
    3. It IS clean Sonic :P

    I feel kinda strange about some comments, but eh...
