Plus Greenhill and Chemical Plant stages. ************* Original Post: ************* Super Clash Bros is a platform fighter which aims to keep the characters (mostly) accurate to their original games. Metal/Mecha/Silver Sonic I'm planning too (they'd be different versions of the same character like the different Marios and Links). I'll have several Sonic levels too. I already have a Green Hill stage halfway done, next I'll start on a Chemical Plant Zone stage. Definitely doing Flying Battery Zone also. Other ones I'm considering are Emerald Hill, Metropolis, and Casino Night, but I'm down to add just about anything if I get enough requests for it. So far Sonic & Tails are in. I gave Sonic his homing attack and mapped it to the jump button with the shield abilities mapped to the main attack button. Tails can of course fly with the jump just as he could in the original games, but I gave him the shield abilities too. So that's one of the things that's inaccurate, I'll probably change that, and then put Sonic's homing attack to the attack button and the shield abilities to the jump button. I also gave them both faster acceleration than the original games because I think that will make them more fun to play as in these arena maps which don't have much runway to gain speed. Also I'm not sure how I'm going to handle Super Sonic. With the item system you can get OP items, especially if you're in last place (a rubberbanding element a la Mario Kart). Mario can get the super star, Megaman could get his Rush Armor, Sonic can become Super Sonic, etc. I'd like to keep Super Sonic accurate, where you need 50 rings to activate it, maybe also you'd need to collect the chaos emeralds from item bubbles. Or I could just do it like it's done Smash Bros, that'd be easiest. I'm planning to add online multiplayer to this if it gets a big fanbase. Maybe some type of single player/co-op mode too. By the way, when I took the game to Super Smash Con last month, Sonic & Tails were definitely the most dominant characters. I had to nerf them after the first couple days. I have some design problems with the item system though that contributed to that. Anyway, would love to hear any feedback!
