A bit ironic how SuperSonic68 has set himself to prove that a completely openworld 3D Sonic game can be done and kinda proves the opposite.
Wow I only just seen the Green Hill Paradise Act 2 trailer today and I'm pretty blown away, this is the first time a proper 3D Sonic game has piped my interest. The great physics and maze like map makes all the difference.

I like a couple of the mechanics in Green Hill Paradise, but mostly it seems to suffer from the same shortcomings as every other BlitzSonic/SonicGDK project. It has the right idea, and if I squinted my mind's eye a bit I could even see how it could be analogous to Super Mario 64's Bob-Omb Battlefield. But it all looks so...slippery. I'd love to see someone take SonicGDK and make it feel more like an upgraded version of Adventure's engine.
I recorded a tutorial on Badniks. The second half focuses on using Kismet to make a Buzzbomber-esque Badnik.
