Sonic X Shadow Generations thread, movie level out now

It is a bit odd that the other supporting characters aren't on the list already. Sonic Generations doesn't have the "Coming Soon" teaser either. It's only playable characters.

I do actually expect it to simply be adding characters over time, but...

All I'm gonna say is that Sonic Man fans are eating good on October 25th

 

I'm placing my bets on Maria('s corpse ) seeing as it's confirmed that Black Doom and Gerald are a part of this in one way or another. Why would they make them mystery characters on this page? As for the rest of the cast not appearing... Why would they, they have such minor roles that I wouldn't be surprised if someone not super hardcore into Sonic would have forgotten that Blaze is in this game.

 

How do you explain Omega not being wiped out by the Time Eater, though? Anything under Eggman, such as Metal Sonic, would be protected, Shadow is protected probably because of Chaos Control shenanigans, Sonic is protected because he's the main character, and Silver could conceivably be protected through his knowledge of time travel.

A funny way they could sneak Silver in is maybe he's late to the party, and going through some kind of time portal, and while he's in that portal, Time Eater attacks. So he's only saved by pure chance.

That, and a character bio for a character we already know is present in the game wouldn't be very exciting to hype up. It'd be pretty tone deaf on Sega's part to not reserve that space for a playable character, but they've done shit like that before so who knows?

I'll go ahead and say it's probably Maria just because it's an update so close to the Anime Expo panel that it seems like she's going to be a big part of.

 

Agreed with this. And I'm pretty certain that it's highlighting major characters, not playable characters.

 

Usually i would agree it’s just another story character, it’s what i was actually thinking at the beginning,however the Generations part of the website uses same design but only playable characters, no Tails no Time Eater, nothing



So either there is something there, or it’s just bad design.

And we could be simply thinking too hard and it will just be modern sonic playable on shadow levels

Wild guess here: Classic Shadow. The plot of the game is about Shadow retconning his own backstory through time shenanigans in order to make classic shadow cannon.

 

Assuming it's a playable character, I'm 99% sure it will be a transformation for Shadow and not actually a different character. Maybe some kind of Doom Shadow or whatever
