Sonic X Shadow Generations thread, movie level out now

Looks great. I have the Xbox360 version but this is definitely worth rebuying.

Only bonus I’d really like to have is the journal. I don’t usually preorder stuff but maybe. It’s a physical book right?

Really like the new Radical Highway remix. I guess that’s probably another stage we’ll get.

 

I bet the physics are the same as the original (especially Classic Sonic's).

Shadow content looks dope. Great production quality, good stage choices, and I'm optimistic that the White Space hub will improve upon the Frontiers formula. Rail Canyon made me rock fucking hard

 

Unless history changed, I don't ever remember the Mega drive being popular in Japan.

 

If this is their testing grounds for refining the Frontiers gameplay (as it seems to be), then good. An open zone with level design is a good step up, and the action zones made for this seem have way more effort put into them than anything seen in Frontiers. Good. Don't know if they have touched up any of the controls since Frontiers, but since the Homing Attack continues to stop you so violently then I'm going to assume not... We'll see.

The Terios Shadow skin, SA1 modern Sonic skin and Kingdom Valley made me pop off, ngl. Also crossing my fingers Gerald's diary is Ian canonizing the Angel Island mural theory.

I'd very much rather not return to the ShTH/06 vibes like we are with this game, and I do wish it wasn't tacked onto Sonic Generations of all games, but I'll accept it as a stepping stone to a better main game, I guess?

This remaster feels like such a breath of fresh air after the shitshow that was Colours Ultimate. Feels like there's actual care being put into this one.

 

The age of Classic is over, it's time for Adventurechads to take over.

 

I think I'd be in if they could make the classic sonic stages feel like superstars. Highly doubtful but that'd be rad.

Considering they keep on putting Zavok into freaking everything, I doubt the Colors/Lost World nostalgia will ever kick in
