I love how SEGA's always bringing back HIRO (he did the undeground White Space theme) to Sonic (and even other SEGA gales like Yakuza) soundtrack.

Please, keep doing that, it's nice seeing someone have been in SEGA since the 80's (Outrun, Fantasy Zone, Space Harrier, etc) doing music for the games. He recognition.

I am missing Rinatro Soma’s presence with this soundtrack to be honest. As far as Sonic goes, they’ve been a real rising star with their contributions to Frontiers and Superstars.

I hate to admit it but the Chaos Island RBU remix is starting to grow on me

I Ioathed it to begin with too, but it's really starting to become one of my favourites. The two Chaos Island tracks are both very interesting takes to be honest.

Absolutely agree, Soma is one of my favorite Sega composers at this point and I definitely miss their work here.

He was credited as both director or composer.

I prefer the non-dubstep half, but yes.

The only tracks I didn't like are the two Radical Highway acts.

Act 2 is a little bit better but there's something about both that remind me of Radical Highway Act 2 from Generations 3DS.

Saying that, I'm actually digging the Supporting Me track for this game. I still think the original one is the best one, but this one just found a great angle compared to the 3DS and Forces versions.

I think All Supporting Me versions are good. Forces ver. are worse tho', but still good on its own.

Been playing a bunch of the Tokyo dlc stage. Fun level that's been growing on me the more I replay it. That movie skin though... it's not very good, is it? After watching Sonic 3 it does not seem like a good approximation of that design- the mouth and eyes just do not animate like they do in the movie at all, and the proportions don't seem right either.

Yea I don’t love it either. I wish you could toggle it off lmao.

The level is extremely solid though and super detailed. Frankly it’s almost a shame they seemed to have put so much work into it when you are done with it in several minutes. I feel like ST could’ve squeezed a tiny bit more out of this level.

Matt McMuscles has a let’s play channel where he and a friend of his played the level. The friend actually lives in Japan atm and said the stage is like shockingly accurate

Maybe they used Google Earth or open-source models as a base somehow?

I don't remember if it was TikTok or a Youtube vid, but I recall someone had actually compared the level side by side with Shibuya and it was pretty much 1:1 up until an overpass I believe. With most of the stores being the same kinds of stores, just rebranded for copyright reasons.

I didn't think much of the Tokyo level at first but it's grown on me and now feels like a really good addition to the game. It brings the total number of Stages up to a nice number, too. Probably the best DLC level I've seen from a sonic game, and I've been buying them all the way since Unleashed. I think it's pretty cool that the movie crossed over, too.

What other actual new (actual) level DLCs have there been besides… Hyrule Field and Yoshi? This is kind of a first.

It actually is a neat level, but it’s over too soon. They should’ve put another act in with challenges and such. They made a lot of beautiful assets that we barely get to live in

There are tons of extra acts you can buy in Unleashed, and some of them are very fun.
