That's basically the gist of what Maria says when Shadow wants to freeze time and try to save them. He tells her she doesn't know what happens, and says all she knows is they'll eventually be together again, and when they're apart she'll still be in his heart. Meaning she knows stuff will happen, but refuses to throw it all away.

Honestly a really touching message for a Sonic game regarding tragedy and trauma.

 

I didn't know Abe bullied Shadow either because it isn't in the cutscenes. Additional information you have to reach out for should be just that. If they had time for a speech with Maria talking about how Shadow is light, which again teaches us nothing new about them or their relationship (we already know they're close and get along) they had time for cutscenes dedicated to that.

Shadow let go of his anger at the end of Shadow 2005 and in Sonic 06 was a more confident mature indivual who even willingly worked for GUN to help them be what they should represent and not the ones who took Maria from him.

I'm glad it resonated with you and you liked the story. I just feel it didn't teach me anything about the characters that changes how I feel about them or their relationships to each other.

Whoever Abe is we won't be seeing again and I don't think he's anyone top 10 15 or 20 sonic character so I don't care from that perspective either.

Again I don't care more about Maria or Gerald more just because they had more screentime. If someone needs a character to have 50 lines and 20 minutes of screentime to care about them, that's not the fault of the writer, unless what did appear wasn't effective.

"Shadow...give them a chance to be happy...That is the reason you were brought into this world..." and I think they did it perfectly in SA2.

 

It is in the PS5 version, it's currently timed DLC. Shadow Generations: Dark Brotherhood is in the PS5 version, it's part of the game. It even has special scenes in the PS5 version not on the version uploaded to Sega's youtube channel.

 

I have the PS5 version. I don't know who Abe is or care about his relationship to Shadow and Shadow being bullied does not change his character to me.

Especially because, once again, it's not part of the main games story which is what matters the most. What you mentioned had no effect on how Shadow acted in the game. And Shadow let go of his anger a long time ago.

Again I'm glad you liked it but this whole thing just felt like going in circles to me (the story not the conversation).

I didn't know there was a Sonic X Shadow Chronicles too, they're taking this Year of Shadow thing really seriously

Last time i counted, the game had 6 different versions of Radical Highway "Vengeance is Mine"

So of course the album release have yet another remix of it, something tells me that maybe they love Radical Highway a little bit.

 

Honestly, I wish the extra remix were used in Act 2, instead of TORIENA's remix.

 

I love the Act 2 theme by TORIENA, but I'm not so keen on the Act 1 theme by R.B.U at all. Swap that one out for the bonus remix and we're golden.

Although I'm still gonna maintain that Radical Highway shouldn't have been the final level and Black Doom's new-found obsession. Black Comet/Final Haunt got done dirty.

 

I actually don't think TORIENA's remix is bad, I just think it's more appropriate to something else than being used for the last stage of the game. I think R.B.U's remix is fine, but wouldn't minded if it was swapped as a bonus remix, tho'.

Even if I have to admit it's a bit overdramatic even for this game's final level standards.

 

That's what I really like about the Act 2 mix tbh. It visual suits the level. Unless the rest of the levels in Generations, Radical Highway is a warped and distorted version of the source material. The theme that TORIENA produced reflects the visuals and feels suitably climatic, imo. The Gate theme is incredibly cool, but doesn't really fit the direction that they took the level.

 

Is it OK to ask which are those 5 remixes of Radical Highway?

 

Now we've got the full OST, seems like an appropriate time to say that I'm honestly pretty disappointed we only got a rerecording of What I'm Made Of rather than a full on rearrangement in the style of the Open Your Heart remix from Sonic Generations. I know that wasn't everyone's cup of tea, and I still prefer the original, and what we've got here is a good version that to me pretty much replaces the original, but that's kind of the problem. I didn't want a better version of what already existed, I wanted a different take on it, like we've had with the various versions of Supporting Me.
