When is the Deluxe edition gonna become available? It's been "less than an hour" for like 2.5 hours now

Edit: don't forget to restart your computer for it to become downloadable (restarting Steam didn't help somehow)

Gentlefolk! May all your experiences be sweet, exhilarating and promptly triumphant in one exuberant, furry-filled package.

Without further ado... Let the games begin.

With the new control scheme how are you supposed to boost and quickstep to the right at the same time and it not feel awkward as hell? I have to use my thumb and it feels incredibly awkward

The people who called me a faggot for liking Sonic games are now trying to convince me that "wokeness is killing Sonic".

Anyway, I hate that this is dropping right in the middle of my work week, and I have to wait seven hours before I really have time to play it. I CAN SEE BRUCE PLAYING IT ON THE DAMN DISCORD AND I WANT TO THROTTLE HIM

The game right now is top 14 seller on Steam, globally:

I'm very curious how this game's sales will go after Sonic 3.

A note about the exclusive Dark Beginnings content for PS5 owners... It's a separate download located in the PlayStation Store option. It's 20 GB extra and idk what else there is to this because I have to wait for it to download.

I planned to go from Generations to Dark Beginnings and then to Shadow but then I just really wanted to play Shadow, and couldn't find Dark Beginnings. So now you can.

I will say I'm having trouble adjusting to Shadow's gameplay. I keep wanting to do the bounce and I can't and it probably hurts that I played some Frontiers earlier. Very different feel.

Beat the campaign. Took me 3 hours, a good hour of that was screwing around in White Space. The campaign itself is short but White Space has a ton of content. It's ridiculous how many small challenges they jam packed into it, and they're all fun. If Frontiers was structured more like this then that game would have been hella solid.

My main complaint is that yet again the controls for the two modes are completely different. The boost stages controls are at least far more refined than they were in Frontiers and Forces. Personally speaking, I also enjoyed them more than Generations, especially the air control. They aren't as good as Unleashed but close enough.

But that's besides the point, Shadow controls well in White Space. It's fun to run and jump around with him. And the handling is refined to a point that I don't think boost is even necessary anymore to get the fast paced sensation. So I also get annoyed when I jump into a stage and I get a Shadow that has no mobility unless he's boosting.

Haven't tried it on my Deck yet but I had a smooth performance on my laptop the entire playthrough. Great game, great experience. Dream Team still the better game.

So has anybody catalogued all the new concept art yet? From either the digital art book, within the game itself or Sonic's side if any new pieces were added there.

I've been trying to unlock them but I need more tokens which require me to go back into the stages and seek out those specific tokens. Not only that, but also find the blue chest hidden in White Space that contain them. Lot of cool stuff though.

I hope fan game rip off the Doom Powers for Shadow moving forward. These are nothing like Wisp. They're all mostly seamless. Chaos Spearing enemies or uppercutting and teleporting are sick as hell.

The only Doom Power I'm not into is Doom Morph. Controls very awkwardly. Every other power is great, though. I also wish next time that Doom Surf doesn't make water a complete non-hazard.

Can someone who's played the game explain the difference between Chaos Spear and Doom Spear to me? Apparently Chaos Spear only stuns enemies while Doom Spear is supposed to destroy them, but I've yet to even see any gameplay footage where somebody uses the latter.

I'm so disappointed that there is no Chao Garden in this game. Shadow's story feels like a sequel to both Sonic Adventure 2, AND Shadow the Hedgehog.

This is the most raw in visuals I've seen Sonic Team go since Sonic Unleashed. I did not expect to be blown away visually, the game/gameplay is actually better than what the trailers presented IMO.

The Sonic franchise is more than "back." It may be tipping on being at a level of quality fans haven't witnessed before. I hope this game sells well, and that Sonic Team keep on improving.

Doom Spear is just multiple Chaos Spears at once, there's really no mechanical difference.

I've seen doom spear function like mechas from sonic adventure games.
