It sucks knowing I'd rather play on PC, but I refuse to support Denuvo so I have to get it on PS5. Hoping that one day every publisher realizes DRM is worthless. There's no way to ever prove that DRM saved you money. You're literally paying money to a shaman who promises to keep ghosts away. Nobody has real metrics on how much piracy there is or the financial effects of it, even Denuvo admits they have no info and there's no way to obtain it. An entire industry to make the world worse to satiate the delusions of investors and executives

The about 3% there are. Granted, I'm one of them, but still. Sure is better than being a Boom fan though. Not only is Boom a spinoff completely detached from Modern, it's a dead spinoff completely detached from Modern. And I don't see it ever having a revival. Quite a shame really, I freaking love Rise of Lyric.

The Space Colony Ark level doesn't look so bad. It reminds me of a longer version of a Cyber Space stage, but with a bit more spectacle. The iconic appearance translated well to the modern day. I'd say the same goes for Rail Canyon. Am sweating just by looking at just by looking at the footage.

The other three stages however, so far just rub me the wrong way. The colours in Kingdom Valley look off and where tf did the water go? The city from Sonic Forces didn't look bad or anything. In fact, I thought it looked really good. Here, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the original, atmosphere-wise. Is that the right call? Chaos Island looks nothing how I remember either. Can't say I'm too thrilled to see this ancient temple again. Less ancient temples, more banana trees, please.

Maybe I'm just extra grumpy because it's Shadow. Let's just hope it doesn't get rushed. Surely we'll get some new impressions from the Gamescom booth later this week.

It's RichaadEB who is involved with Supporting Me remix (I assume with Jun Senoue).

I love how SEGA (or Jun Senoue for that matter) is always paying attention to the talented artist on community.

    I'm shocked by this trailer.

It actually makes me okay with paying 60$ again, just because the new content looks 'that' good...

I mean, I don't do pre-orders, so I may wait a day or 2 still, but chances of me buying are pretty high now, and I didn't do a day 1 buy for Frontiers.

Oh wow, amazing pull by SEGA, i like this guy and his covers, never expected to see him here

and the best part: it’s not even strictly $60, just $50 for base game -but also depends on what level they are gating behind the Deluxe edition, which is just $60 anyway-

  8. Can't wait for the game now. Hopefully we have some gameplay from the game over the week

Really hope they show footage of or let people get hands-on with the Switch version of Shadow Generations prior to release, would be nice to have some idea of how the port will perform. The game has definitely captured my interest at this point, just want eyes on the version for the platform I actually own...!

Half of the reason Sonic OSTs are consistently good is because Jun Senoue always knows a person or two and asks them to work on a project.
And it seems that he keeps an eye on new talent.

Same I want to see footage of the game in motion on Switch.

The Nintendo Switch version of the new trailer says that the footage was "captured at Switch specifications" but it more or less looks the same as the PS5 footage so either they're talking pure BS or the Switch version must be pretty impressive.

Okay I saw the number of stages on the game and I’m sold. Yesterday’s gameplay footage got me as well. I can’t wait to see the explanation behind Shadow being on Chaos Island but he’s older than Sonic maybe it happened back when Maria and Gerald Robotnik were still living.

The Switch port is going to be sub-1080p (maybe even sub-720p at points or just in general) and have a 30FPS target. There's no way that's not what they go for.

Frontiers looks crusty as hell on Switch but that had a lot to do with the structure and rendering of the game. This one should be much more like Forces, which was honestly a best-case scenario for a Switch port, especially in 2017. I mean, assuming a big white void with some platforms in it isn't as intensive to draw as Ouranos Island is.

Given how much Chaos abilities Shadow use regularly, him being related somehow to Chaos Island makes sense, i don't believe we got an explanations for why it was named that i believe so maybe this time we will

I'm guessing the Challenge Acts are set in Radical Highway?

Main stages are Ark, Rail Canyon, Kingdom Valley, Enemy Territory, and Chaos Island.

Surprised we haven't seen any locations exclusive to Shadow 05.

Ark kinda pulls double-duty for Shadow 05 and SA2, I suppose.

The Challenge acts are probably like regular Generations, set on the same level maps with different stipulations or object layouts.

Perhaps. The only Reason I'm guessing that is because we see multiple color variations of Radical Highway and it's the only stage that has a corrupted almost "Cyberspace-seque" kind of look.
