He has assembled version of Sonic X that plays according to the original japanese cut but made of HQ footage from 4Kids and japanese DVDs. He says that the best possible quality can be sourced from 4Kids release. However, the description goes as follows: "The first 52 episodes are based on old Japanese DVDs, as this is the best existing quality on these series. The recently released SD-BD disks have a lot of problems. According to the publisher's assurance, they were assembled from 6 sources. The situation is pretty grim: besides the fact that the video is blurry and smeared, 4Kids censorship leaked into this edition. Episodes 19, 23, 29, 33 were drawn in the true 29,970 fps." The Discotek version is blurry and smeared? I thought they had compared all existent versions and hand-picked the best quality of each scene, making it a "best possible quality" mishmash? Here is the comparison from that thread. First screen is the DVD version, second is the BD/Discotek release: Spoiler Which does seem to corroborate that. This coupled with the supposedly unintentional inclusion of 4kids censorship makes it seem like the ones in charge of picking the scenes did a rather poor job.
