Sonic Unleashed

I have searched all across the FTP for the screenshots, but I haven't found ANYTHING. Also, that person who put up the screenshots said that there is a trailer to this, but she said that it was 600+ megs, so she doesn't want to load it up right now.


BTW, I just noticed that this is happening all too close to April Fools Day. If this "Sonic Unleashed" bit is all one gigantic April Fools joke, I WILL kill. <_< Even though it probably isn't possible, and it looks too official, there are very good 3d artists on the Internet that can possibly do such a thing as this. Let's just hope for the best, and pray this is real (to people who actually LIKE this game concept).


BTW (offtopic) expect a "SHOOP DA WHOOP" picture of Sonic's distorted facial expression randomly popping up sometime in this topic. XD

 

These COULD be fake renders made by a fan. I'm looking for inconsistencies...

For instance, compare the upper-right HUD in this shot with this one.

You will notice in one, it's slightly blurry, and in the other it's not-- but in both screens the ring power HUD at the bottom looks exactly the same. Also, have a look at the positioning of the numbers in them. In the first one, the "4" at the end is positioned a bit strangely. In the other screen, the "5" in the middle is like that.

I dunno, but these just feel like renders to me.

 

They COULD have been rendered, but the CG cutscene screens look to legit, though. I don't know, I am just really confused.

 

Look at the hud at the bottom, when Sonic has a blur effect part of the hud also does. I think this is just a good April fools. After all the amount of 3D artisits that can produce something offical looking isn't un-usual.

Edit: Also overlappping blue blur from Sonic's jump on the 99 lifes.

Though I must say, the graphics in those screenshots are fucking brilliant!

Okay, my question: If these aren't real, then where the hell did they get that secret rings-esque model from? It looks very well rendered—something I wouldn't expect from some random faggot with a fancharacter.

Also though I checked the SEGA FTP and there's not even a Sonic Unleashed folder on it. So that confirms what Saz said, that it could be BS.

 

Confused indeed. I really wouldn't mind a Secret Rings follow up, if they assigned the Homing Attack to a button so it would work all the time, and fixed backtracking. And made it easier to brake.

Yeah, speaking of which, fuck Secret Rings. Maybe they should do like Killer 7 and map running to a button? The fact that Sonic ran on his own wasn't the best idea. I wouldn't mind holding the remote sideways, using A to run, and tilting for steering, with 1 or 2 being jump/Homing Attack buttons.

This one for an example, look at the background, that just seems too high of quality for the Wii. Oh well, all we can do is wait for an official word, or for the person to scream april fools.

Edit- Machosart, making comments like that will get you a real long stay here after trial membership....

 

What I recommend is combing through for FPS maps, that scene screams FPS map to me.

The emerald in the pre renders looks bad, even if the emerald is drained of power, it still is not rendered or blured like the rest of the shot.

Also it seems odd that the guy that uploaded them didn't upload them in one, he post new ones every so often.
