I would punch someone if I did all that for Tails. At least Shadow would be roughly the same speed as Sonic, so it'd just be a new model and Chaos Powers.

Wait a sec, no one's looked through the ISO yet?

Getting the motivation to continue old projects
Lazyness/playing of the actual game probably got in people's way =P

I think the reason Super Sonic in regular levels never appeared in 3D Sonic games because of the Ranking system. Imagine how easy getting an S rank would be. the only possibility would be to make him an unlockable feature once you already got all S ranks and medals. Eventually, we will find out the rewards for a completed file of Sonic World adventure (Unleashed).

I vaguely remember someone looking through the ISO and noting something about Sonic and Super Sonic's model, but it was lost in a sea of Unleashed impressions.

I remember that too. He said their stuff was located in the same directory. I'm pretty sure he was speaking of the PS2 version though.

I'm not too sure that Super Sonic would be the unlockable though. I mean, it wouldn't be ridiculous, but what would be the advantage? When Sonic boosts, he goes just as fast and is invincible -- and he doesn't lose rings.

If the final boss is anything to go by, then
infinite boost, slightly increased speed, and less Rings lost per hit.

Then again, they might chuck in some more advantages, like some kind of freaky flight move or something.

By past experience then, I'll never hear it properly in game =/

EDIT: This assumes they get slowly better and better as you advance up the rankings to A & S, as opposed to just E being lame

I think that there are three tracks, one being the E rank, a good one for until B or A rank I think, and the best for S rank.

    All the bitches.
That would have been me that said about the models.

Every file of Sonic there is a Super Sonic version of it in the Wii iso.

    Oh WOW.

I do believe that's a first. Usually Super Sonic has like, half the files Sonic has.

I don't recall D-A and S having separate results screen tracks. They might, I'd have to check. I know the Wii version doesn't (or else it'd be in the music rip).

Actually, I just checked myself, and there are two clear stage themes (Not including distorted E rank version). One is just labeled Jingle - Clear, while the other is labeled Jingle - Clear B (Which is a bit more dramatic.)

This is extremely interesting. I'm looking forward to any additional info that is found on the matter.

I'd look up some of this myself, if I knew what the hell I was doing. Putting homebrew applications of my PSP is pretty much the extent of my technical experience. :eng99:

It's probably the final boss' act clear.

So hey, I don't see anyone else talking about it, but Adabat Day act 1? Framerate problems out the ass. It's a gorgeous level, which reminds me of a remade Angel Island Zone, actually, but it runs at about 20 FPS for around 25% of the level - the most graphically intense part, naturally.

I hope to hell this is fixed in the PS3 version before I pick it up.

I'll mess around with the Wii version a bit and see what I can find. Doubt anything will turn up, but replacing random files never hurt anything, did it?

    Oh wait.

    EDIT: Yeah I got nothing.

Holy shit I love these shorts

They should make a full saturday morning cartoon out of this stuff. But just the way it is - no voices.

    This stuff is seriously great.
