I mentioned the boss thing earlier. I would say that this guy is a mini-boss, because I have seen pictures of the real bosses, and they have Eggman as a pilot.

 

The Wii version has been confirmed to be compatible with the Gamecube controller and Classic Controller.

 

Then Wii it is!

 

Alright then, if you say so. The CG cutscenes are going to look so badass on my big screen. I can't wait for Tuesday.

 

Watching some trailers for this, I must say that I'm genuinely quite excited by the prospect of Unleashed. I've had my misgivings about certain things, but this looks like being genuinely enjoyable. Can't wait to play it now.

 

I'll be picking up the Wii version on Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on when my local GameStop has it.

EDIT: IGN also has a new hands-on to go with their Apotos video. They say that they're thinking it may be the best of the bunch. http://wii.ign.com/articles/930/930286p1.html

 

IGN probably said something good about 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand too. You are better off reading the gamefaqs user board.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't consider places like IGN a reliable source of review. I've said it multiple times already, but I'll say it again—base your opinion of the game on your own merit, not on anyone else's. Taking other reviews to heart will only skew your view of the game.

As for the new Wii footage... looking better, actually! The level is a bit more lively than the other ones I've seen, but it still manages to be pretty bland. I think it's pretty obvious which release is going to be superior here, so I'll just concentrate on the 360/PS3 versions. I know I'm only able to actually buy the PS2 version, but that won't stop me from enjoying the superior version for what it is.

 

Awwww, IGN isn't THAT bad. I mean yeah, you can't spell ignorant without I-g-n, but they've patched up their image recently in my opinion.

That said, I still think that the 360/PS3 versions would be superior, I'm just saying, it's an interesting tidbit.

 

For all those complaining about linear-ness/lack of badniks, don't forget

There's a reason it plays like that. =P

 

He must have played the 360 version months ago, if he's bitching so much about framerates and what not.

Why in the Wii version does Sonic wag his arms erratically when going off ramps?

 

I don't know about Samba de Amigo, but both Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2 are going to have DLC, and at least two of the WiiWare games (Mega Man 9 and My Life As a King or whatever that FFCC one is) has, or at least will have, DLC.

 

You know, if Sega wanted to show off the fairy, they could've laid off the speed and give us gameplay involving Chip. And while we're still talking about Chip, he's now left WIDE open to YTMND photoshopping. Poor fairy...dog...crescent snouted...thing. But if you can go just about anywhere in the playfield where it looks like you can run, that BETTER be true! Also for those of you who are not seeming to trust Sega at this point, I've seen the trailers. Sonic is acting like as if he was in Sonic Rush and Secret Rings combined with context-sensitive moments and lycanthropic episodes. I think they cleaned up their act.

 

Better idea: Why don't you actually play the game before forming a concrete opinion? For all we really know, it could be the best thing since sliced bread, or it could be an absolute turd. You shouldn't be too quick to praise (or bash, for that matter) a game before you've played it.

I figured something guys. The demo for unleashed will most likely appear on November 19th. Why that date?
Well xbox are releasing the xbox experience thing, and massive update to the xbox console as many of you know. It's a huge release, so millions of people will be online getting it. So releasing the demo at this time will gain it huge attention, thus boosting sales etc etc. It's a great marketing scheme that sega would be fools not to do.
Of course it's just a guess, but it seems likely to me.
