By the way, we might get some new footage tonight/tomorrow. It'd be great to finally see Empire City, as we haven't even seen screens. Eggman Land would be nice too, but they probably won't show that one off before release.

 

The release date for the 360 version has been changed to 11/20 on the Gamestop site. Make of it what you will.

 

For the record, the above-mentioned leak was confirmed as a sham. Nothing to see here, folks.

Interesting that they changed the release date! I wonder why, though; I mean, the game is done, yeah, but didn't they need the extra time for something... well, important? I guess it can't be that important, though, considering that's nearly a month earlier for the release now...

Who's getting what version first? I should be getting the wii version next friday.

 

I got the wii version and the 360 version preordered. I'll be picking up the PS3 version and the PS2 versions later.

1:10 - Super Sonic Spin!!

 

The Sonic section is nothing new (nor nothing exciting), so I'll withhold comment from that. However, the Werehog stuff is new!

I don't like how the music changes whenever you get near enemies. The night music for that particular stage is incredibly awesome, as is the rest of the night stage music. It seems kind of dumb and gimmicky to not let it play out when fighting enemies, especially when it seems combat is a huge part of the game. It'd be much better off without it, I think.

 

I dunno. It reminds me of Phantasy Star Online. I dig the music change when you get near enemies. As far as Sonic Unleash goes, I think this will turn out much better than Sonic THE Hedgehog. I don't think this will hinder Sonic as much as people says. I plan on getting this though.

 

It looks like WereSonic has an unleashed mode ala God of War's God mode where you can do bigger moves and more damage.

 

Dante did it first with Devil Triggers.

Yeah, they did talk about the Werehog having an Unleashed mode. I wonder if he'll pull off super powered moves that can only be done in that state.

 

It looks more like Ninja Gaiden for kids... if Ryu Hayabusa could power-up somehow.

I dunno. I still say people are getting to whiny over "wair-hawgs?! ohes nose! so-gayes!" It won't be so bad... especially since there'll be upgrades.

And I'm with Tweaker on the music. Most of the night music I've heard was rather awesome. PSO's music was more or less just for down-time sake, and wasn't so intense or cool during non-battle scenes. I really liked what I've heard, but oh well.

At least it all looks smooth and wonderful.

 

They pretty much have to make this game good, not just to salvage the franchise. As said before, Sega and Sonic Team would like to farm out the Hedgehog Engine to other developers. If it turns out solid, that'll be a new source of revenue for them, which is first and foremost what a company can't get enough of.

I still wouldn't care if it was real. One, I don't have a chipped ps2, so I couldn't run it on either my laptop or ps2. Also, I don't download roms like that. Sure I get a few classic games that I had on the N64, but I'm not that desperate and sad.

 

A leak would have been better to rip the music from the game into psf2 and, thusly, mp3 or ogg.

Around the World in 5 Minutes.

 

I've seen most of the footage, and I have to admit that it looks pretty cool. The day stages look pretty amusing, and I don't mind the Werehog stages, so as long as the Werehog controls properly. I think I read somewhere that it came out today in the United Kingdom.

I've got high hopes for this game, and hopefully I'll be pleased when I get it on Tuesday.

I really cannot express how awesome that trailer was outside of that. Seriously looking forward to this game beyond words.
