I would recommend adding controller support before calling it finished. The keyboard is not a natural feel for most Sonic players. Joy2Key exists but it's kind of a pain to set up differently for each game.
Yeah, this is a good point. It'd been something I'd been avoiding for a bit because I struggled to see a way to reliably map multiple (and specifically, less well known) brands of controller types using Unity's Input Manager alone, but I've just made a Mapping Screen which should allow the user to map their own controller I've tested it on my Dualshock 4 and my Xbox 360 / PC Controller and got each of them to work as hoped, so here's hoping it'll go smoothly for others!
