    If only there was a board mod where you could have an announcement post type of thing at the top of every page, so people will see that and not make suggestions and whatnot, despite you not wanting that.

    Will the Nega Special Stages be all new layout or just a mirrored version of its opposer; IE Nega Special Stage 1 is just Special Stage 1 but mirrored.

    I'm not sure if some of these have been mentioned already (haven't read whole topic) but when you exit a map by pressing Start, A, the game loses all sound. You can regain sound for about 10 seconds by pausing the game and unpausing.

    2: Once on slot 3, I started the game and went to load it, and as sonic appeared in Green Hill Zone and started falling to the ground, half the screen screwed up, and the game froze, and some text appeared to the left. If I restarted the game and went to load again, it'd always happen until I deleted it... now I feel stupid for realizing I could've sended you a savestate :/

    3: When you start in entrance, and run to the right really fast, jump over the hole, bounce on the spring which leads to #1, and continue going right up to under #1 / over #2, sonic just dies like he got hit by an enemy.

    This is fixed in later builds as far as I can tell.

    Sounds like a fault with your save game.

    This ISN'T fixed in later builds, but it's a fault with Cinossu's level design. You see, the dynamic level resizing code checks you're past a particular Y value (which you are) and then if you're past a particular X value (which you shouldn't be since you haven't made it onto the floor with slot 1 on it). Because it's detecting you as above that X value it's scrolling up and crushing you. This can be fixed by fiddling the numbers.

    Hi everyone.
    Cinossu, I played your OCT2006 demo and I liked it.

    I would like to give you some suggestions what would be good to be included in Sonic1 Extended Edition.

    1.
    Have missions in each level like in Sonic Adventure.
    Mission C: The first mission is automatically cleared when Sonic reaches the end of the level.
    Mission B: When Sonic reenters a beaten level, he must get a certain amount of rings or nega rings, then make it to the end of the level to clear the second mission. This mission can be excluded from boss battles.
    Mission A: If Sonic enters a level with Mission B cleared, he must reach the end of the level in a certain time limit to clear Mission A, thus completing the level completely for Sonic.

    Tails can get different missions. (Like he must find something in the level, but it's up to you Cinossu what do you decide.).

    2.
    Have Sonic emblems, like in Sonic Adventure (again).
    Each time for completing a level, a mission, beating a boss, getting an emerald etc,etc,etc. would also give Sonic emblems, one of each. Getting a certain amount of emblems could let the player unlock the Super Peel-Out and Spindash moves, as well as some other stuff, it's up to you what.

    Now onto some questions about this hack:

    1. Labyrinth Zone: Will be there a separate, new boss? Chasing Eggman is not really a boss fight.

    2. Which zones will have Day-Evening-Night-Morning palettes, aside of Green Hill?

    3. Do you plan more playable characters? (Noobish question I know.)

    4. What could be the requirement to become Hyper Sonic after the player got all of the Chaos and Nega Emeralds? (The ring/nega ring count to become Hyper Sonic)

    That's all for now. It's up to you if you want to use these things in your hack, Cinossu.

    If I remember corectly, I think it's if the Normal Ring OR Nega Ring count is at 50, then you can turn into Hyper Sonic. And I think that if you have, say, -2 rings left and you hit a normal ring box to get 10, you'd stay as Hyper Sonic, and you'd have 8 rings, going back down to 0. So either way, Hyper Sonic is a countdown to zero (nega) rings.

    Most definitely, it's been my intention to replace that from the start.

    All of them, except for (maybe) Labyrinth which'll be handled differently.. and Final Zone, as it'll be indoors.

    You'll have to wait and see on that one.

    Well, once you have them all there's one final "control emerald" (yes, I need a better name) that needs to be collected, and then it's 50 rings or negarings and a double jump.

    As for the SA-style ideas.. no. :D
