So, is it possible to have expansions of the other Sonic games for the Genesis/Sega CD, like S2, KiS2, S3&K and SCD for Classic 1? Or are you saving those games for future sequels? Man, it's really good to have any recent news about this game, I've been following this since May, it's one of the fan games I've been wanted to play the most, with just Project AXSX over him. If you need any one to beta test this, I'm offering my time for helping this game being finally released.
I would definitely remove Sonic 1, as we can just play Sonic 1 in an emulator or something -- personally never saw the point in recreating it. More custom levels = yay.
More custom levels would be phenomenal, but I have no problem getting the main game now and having the rest be added via bonus dlc or in a sequel. Whatever you feel like doing, basically.
Aww come on guys, we never got a PC version of Sonic 1 like we did with S2, S3K and CD. This would fulfill that! I know I'd appreciate it.
C C C C C C C C Make my year. NOW. hnnng seriously, the game is perfect length as it is, if it's ready, then I say go for it.
If you're gonna make a Classic 2 and are gonna put those scrapped stages within it, then I say go ahead and take option C then. I'm ready to play this epic game.
Option C. All the way. The amount of levels is good enough for your average Sonic game. Save what you have for the next game! Or if you want, you could create the extra levels as bonus content after release. I'm dying to play this game! If you need anymore beta testers, I'm available!
He's already suggested that as a possibility. What I'm wondering is: if the game was released without the two extra zones at first, can they be incorporated into the regular flow of levels later, or would they have to be separate? I assume the former. Either way, I'm keen to play! :v:
The answer is more than likely no, I would have to create a whole new exe for this. Right now, if you drop the extra sonic 1 bundle in the same folder, it will reconize this and lock on. Im keeping it this way. Now a release is on its way! It's all up to the beta testers!
If it's not too late to voice my opinion, a mixture of B and C sounds good to me. Anyway, glad to hear the release will be soon
I would absolutely love to beta test this thing, but I'm heading back to school on Sunday, and I most likely won't have time to test it thouroughly enough to be worth having. I can't wait to get my hands on the final, though Also, this came up long ago in this thread, but do you have any plans to release a Mac port as well? If not, I have a PC but it's a Vista 64, so... yeah :v: .
I'd be all for beta testing this splendid looking game, if you need anymore people (and if you need someone to test on Windows 7 64-bit, but whatever).
I must say I am impressed, great hack Hez, however there seems to be a bug in Hazel Hills Act 2, at the underwater area close to the start of the level upon jumping into the bottom of any moving platform, crushed or not you will die instantly. I can get a screenshot if needed. My apologies if this has already been fixed in your current version.
