Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Thread (& Knuckles)

I personally want to remain surprised by the actual contents of the upcoming movie... Though I am curious, do the scenes that have been leaked look vaguely entertaining?

 

I guess the most I can say is this: it's Sonic Movie 3; Sonic Adventure 2, if it were written by the Sonic Movie team.
Or to put it in another way, it's Sonic Adventure 2 if it was the sequel to Sonic Movie 2.

I, for one, am hyped for the Knuckles Bowling Tournament.

The best part is, I could be joking, or I could not! You'll never know!

 

I'd just like to know if there's even the slightest chance of Jim Carrey returning, I certainly hope so.

I can't believe we finally get to see Renobotnik again. It truly was the definitive casino-themed area in the Sonic franchise.

 

Misread this at first as "What Happens In Retro, Stays In Retro..."

 

Wild episode names, they got my interest piqued. I was not expecting references to Judaism, Sonic '06 or gambling, but I'm all for it.

 

The idea of seeing Knuckles eating with the hypothetical 'Whipples' might be the most entertaining visual thus far - if this is supposed to be a cross-culture episode, where Knuckles gets to show Echidna tradition to them and promptly reconcile with the loss of his species' existence and history, it could serve as a sincerely touching moment for the series...

As for what I'm dubbing the Nevada Arc, Reno and it's influx of casinos could be the perfect backdrop for a soft introduction to Rouge the Bat, no? Mass amounts of fortunes contained to 20ish casinos in a condensed area would be a tempting offer for any thief... Or it could be the typical Emerald retrieval mission we usually see in the Adventure games, who knows.

 

A-la that one SEGA arcade/store/location in Japan, right? As neat as that'd be, I take it'd be more for references sake? Unless there's a real devout group of Nevadans who're keen on being Neo Sand-Blasters.

 

If Knuckles gets blasted on Manischewitz, I'm in.

 

Rumor floating around that Anakin Skywalker may be the voice of Shadow.

If that's the case, I have no doubt they'll make a "I have the high ground Anakin!" joke in the movie

"It's no use Shadow, I have the high ground!"

Maybe we'll see some real news soon.
