I want 'Prison Island' to so, so desperately be code for Olive Garden. Imagine Sonic getting "arrested", with Amy crashing through a roof trying to rescue him from a stern but decent meal with the Commander

 

it wouldn't surprise me if more sonic music makes it in this one because unlike with Sonics 1 & 2 (the video games), Sega actually owns the tracks from the Sonic Adventure games

 

Idk, SEGA seems weird about that. I think we would have gotten more game music integration in Sonic Prime if they were open to getting more stuff in, because that series had a much bigger budget than Mega Man, which did integrate game music into the score, but they still went for original stuff. (Even if stuff like the Sonic VS Shadow theme was definitely supposed to be Green Forest)

 

The WB Discovery guy wants to buy Paramount and they are having talks.

So uh, yeah. Looking forward to Knuckles SOMETIME in 2024 then.

 

I don't think nearly completed projects, let alone profitable ones will be affected by this merger.

It's brand new IPs and certain revivals that are in limbo right now. Anything they have faith in profit wise will be left alone.

Also paramount isn't doing that well financially. The merger between Warner and Discocery happened very quickly because of the same issue, there wasn't really anyone fighting it in court because Discovery was absorbing a sinking company.

If this gets approved it won't be long after they said they're doing the merger to see it be done. And again in a new merged company having a property like Knuckles ready to go in your first year is an absolute win.

 

On some level I don't think it's actually going to happen and it's going to end up being more of a mutually beneficial deal, or Paramount buying some specific brand. I just can't imagine Discovery being dumb enough to think they need more after they've already aquired so much debt with their last purchase.

Edit: apparently it's Paramount looking to snag Discovery up. Still an awful decision that I'm sure isn't just so they can get South Park streaming rights back slightly sooner and end the whole lawsuit regarding that stuff.

Why can't companies just buy the parts of other companies they actually want?

 

All of these companies should have been broken up into smaller ones decades ago.

 

WBD wants to merge with Paramount. They have spoken all year that once they stopped bleeding money; theyd get back into aquiring properties and brands.

As of now WBD has a larger cashflow than paramount which has less debt but no real current prospects for a big hit. Paramount will be bankrupt in the next 2 years if no one gets involved. Paramount has neither the cash flow or prospects to absorb WBD.

Also they're not trying to buy one another. They're trying to merge into one. Which might not seem like a major distinction but it will be a huge one when the government gets involved.

 

Ian Flynn said he wanted Sonic to sing or hum themes from the series in Frontiers idle lines but got shot down on licensing grounds, so make of that what you will.

 

A storyboard for Movie 3 and two storyboards from the Knuckles TV show have leaked online.

Be safe of spoilers etc, etc.

 

This is going to be so epic.

1. I really hope Shadow's actor won't get leaked. Actually, they should do it like Nintendo did with Mario and Kevin Afghani
2. How silly would it be, if they'd use CG for Maria (if she's in it) Lol
