Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Thread (& Knuckles)

It makes sense that Knuckles could be Wade’s mentor. He’s the incompetent cop who needs toughening up. Knuckles is the hard opposite of him and is still learning earths ways so they should make a good and funny pair. Plus he’s not gonna leave when they currently have the emeralds.

When it was first announced and before part 2 I sort of thought it’d be about Knuckles going off on his own but I’m glad it’s a side piece to the movies.

 

I know I'm using mad fanboy generalization words but it would be great if whoever is responsible for making boring human copaganda one of the central reoccurring elements in the Sonic film franchise would take a hike and make room for something actually cool or relevant to fans to be the main focus. oh well lol

 

They're setting up the movie adaptation of the day Sonic injured a cop at a parade 30 years ago

 

I think Wade's a funny character, and I think watching Knuckles and him do stuff together could be really fun. Maybe Wade will come out of it being slightly more capable.
I doubt the entire show is about them together. I don't think that alone could carry a full series, no matter how short.

Also, Kid Cudi actually being cast in a role is strange, it makes me wonder if he won't also do more music for the franchise.

It would be also awesome if Knuckles'd use his ring to open the portals and such. He did that in the beginning of Sonic 2.

 

I'm guessing that for purely budgetary reasons the show will really only take place in Green Hills.

 

Not a fan of this once again being "anthro animal paired with human shenanigans" like the first movie was. Was hoping for stuff set more in whatever world Sonic/Knuckles came from, but we shall see.

 

At minimum we’ll prob get flashbacks of Knuckles with his dad and their tribe. Other than that… I’m going to keep my expectations low.

 

the big wish I have for this concept is that we get animations like the one explaining the origin of the Master Emerald like in the second movie. Have the flashbacks/explanations be in that style and my interest would be piqued.

 

I hope they just return to Green Hill Zone and incorporate more areas from the classic games (particularly an island or two directly from the games).

But, that aside, just wanted to post here that I just saw a young kid in a store in a full Sonic onsie costume with quills and everything. No doubt influenced by the movie. Cool!

 

The one context in which a Sonic fan will utter this sentiment in 2023.

 

I wonder if the third movie will attempt to fuse both Adventure stories since we obviously know Shadow's gonna be in it but also that there's plenty of unanswered questions WRT the echidna tribe and the bird people and IMO that can only be going one direction. I wonder if we might even get a Super Sonic/Shadow teamup against Perfect Chaos or whoever.

If true that pretty much confirms it's gonna be Rouge. A completely brand new character would be dumb and I don't think they'd do that. From everything we've heard/seen I predict the villains are gonna be a spattering of Shadow/Rouge/G.U.N and whatever greater threat final boss villain we get whether it be Chaos or the ARK or...Pachamac..? Who knows.
