Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Thread (& Knuckles)

It's just speculation and I've already considered that she wasn't actually meant for Unleashed. It'd just make sense since that was the last Sonic game that really prioritized human characters and AFAIK nothing about her has been confirmed yet.

 

Yeah, but they typically still want people working to monitor the reception and stuff, take care of any mishaps. Same reason why game announcements almost never happen on weekends.

I don't even think we get things like Tails Tube on weekends.

 

The Knuckles' "disgusting" killed me. lol

 

I thought it was cool. He's been in a tube for however many years, so he's a stiff and the others aren't.

 

I thought they were above disrespect for the people who designed their own character but obviously I thought wrong.

What the fuck went so wrong here?

 

Damn, would be great if they just sold that, I'd totally pick one up.

It was a bad design, everyone hated it and it quickly became a joke. The design itself was a disrespect to the character and the fans.

They're not disrespecting the people who created and/or approved it. It's not a personal attack.

 

There are people that work on holiday periods. I'm an on call slave for my department for the end of December. I know our marketing branch also has an unlucky schmuck. I'm sure SEGA is no different.

I'm not saying that something will absolutely be announced because some background Easter Egg has a date slapped on it, but it's not outside of the realm of possibility.

 

Personally, I saw it as humour. It is pretty hilarious. Brings up good memories of a fan base once united too.

Right? Chip and Dale already took advantage of Ugly Sonic so not surprising that the movie team would capitalize. Although they should produce ugly Tails, Knuckles and Shadow ones too.

 

Indeed, it's incredibly common (in my experience) for tech workers to be employed over the holiday period including social media teams etc. Nearly all large projects are paused over December for this reason, with resources who will take vacations in staggered periods and maintain a skeleton crew for essential services.

did movieSonic always have really pronounced eyelashes or is this something they've added to his design recently?

this is something I kind of hope they bring back into the game designs, at least so they can look more like their 2D artwork lol

He's had them since the first film, but they really stand out this time for some reason.

I also noticed the facial animation is a hell of a lot better in the 3rd movie going off the Exclusive Clip they released. They seem noticeably more expressive.
