Regarding all the "bathroom" posts...

Yeah... this happened a lot.

People were getting up midway through the movie and right at the end for the bathroom.

Whilst this was mainly parents taking their kids out. There was a lot of adults who... well when you gotta go, you gotta go!

 

I don't like what you're implying. We Sonic fans have just started to shed our poor internet reputation.

 

As a former theater janny, I can't do that to my fellow brothers and sisters. I'll leave my lemonade in the cup holder as it was done to me.

 

Alright last-minute prediction, we just bought our tickets for next Friday:

There should be a joke with a police sketch of Shadow that looks like the 2019 Ugly Sonic design.

 

Oh yeah with the new clip we also got a better look at the mystery lady billboard. It's definitely 12/30/2024

Also the text on the left apparently reads Professor Tori? So we may finally have a name to pin on her.

Interestingly, it's written トリー in the journal instead of トリィ like in the billbord but the third character in both spellings are just the extending the "i" sound, so "Torii" could also be used as a more literal romanization I guess

She's giving femme fatale vibes which maybe explains why they've been ignoring Rouge lately. Still wonder what her OG position was and why she was cut. Maybe a rival scientist to Professor Pickle?

 

Yes, this is what people have been speculating on for weeks, in this thread. *EDIT: I read right past the "Unleashed" bit and thought it said Frontiers.

 

I initially thought Keanu Reeves could fit Shadow well given his flat affect, but wowzers. The "I don't look like you, you look like me. Why do you look like me?" line read was real directionless.

The whole back and forth exchange was kinda weird, like they were talking through each other and not to each other. Not helped by the camera only sitting on close ups of their faces, cutting back and forth for each line. A wider shot showing all four during conversation would have helped ground things probably?

I don't know for sure what would've helped, but that scene was stiff.

I was assuming that was to allow people to headcanon Topaz from Sonic X, but this is interesting.

I was skeptical at first, but it certainly is looking more like she is actually a thing. Never seen SEGA tease an upcoming character this way before.

I have a hard time believing they'll be revealing something on the day before New Years, though. So many people take vacation time, I'd think folks at SEGA's western branches would be as well. (I just don't know if people take vacation at the end of December in Japan).

She's not in the movie at all last I heard.

 

She was never an Unleashed character.

 

They were just saying they were seen alongside the images of the Unleashed NPCs. I thought it was pretty understood that she was most like an unused character or something even if it was never really confirmed

 

I haven't seen anyone point it out yet, but is it me, or does it sound like a slightly modified form of the riff from Live and Learn is being used as a lietmotif here?

Starts right after Shadow twists Knuckles' wrist, and ending with a walk down much like the "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" when Shadow is kicked into the arcade and then when he is picked up by Sonic and Tails.

It's slightly different, and I know it's not the big, bombastic, wailing guitars we know and want, but the fact that I noticed something in the music AT-ALL for one of these movies is a huge improvement.

Couldn't even hum the themes for Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles from the previous films.
