it's The World of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic's world. His world.

Realistically, it probably means nothing for Sonic since any future Sonic TV project (should we get any post-skydance) as the article pretty much says it would just be under CBS studios, and it seems even Knuckles was produced at a point where most of the work was through CBS Studios and this is just the killing blow in a string of layoffs.

Fair enough, I hadn't actually realised the outfit wound up shortly after Enterprise ended. And yes, sorry for the offtopic diversion, it just sprung to mind =P

I just finished watching the Knuckles show on Nick (don’t have P+). I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. I absolutely loved it.

Too avoid spoilers I didn’t read or watch reviews. I just saw a few comments around the web that it was bad and Knuckles didn’t get enough focus but it I thought it was great.

I thought Knuckles was so cute and so cool when he fought. Especially the last episode. I loved his relationship with Wade and his family and him hanging out at their house. I liked Wade more too. He was ok in the movies but I’m glad we got to see the character expanded on.

I thought it was funny. I laughed every episode. Some probably think it’s dumb kids humor but I found it funny even if some jokes skewed a little silly. I liked Wade and Wanda’s sibling rivalry. I think everyone interacted well together.

The only thing I didn’t like was the Pachacamac Vision sequence. I’m glad we got some of Knuckles backstory but the musical thing was too much of a parody. They should have done it as 2D animation like the intro since they couldn’t do it full cgi.

Anyway the show really worked for me. I know I’m in the minority but I love seeing Sonic and Friends in normal everyday life while fending off occasional threats. I think because as a kid you imagine what they’d be like as your friends and the show portrays that. More-so than the movies which need to be more action oriented. I’m probably the only one that wants to see more of Sonic and Tails living with Tom and Maddie. Haha.

New render from a cup. Still no trailer.
    That is all.

The quality of this render is superb, but man am I not a fan of the expression on his face. This guy looks like he has been spanked by Gerald.

Or maybe he was just looking at one of those AI-generated film posters, who knows?

I think now would be a great time for a trailer.

Yeah. Like, no way they don't drop a trailer like early to mid next month. It's perfect timing so they can put that in the trailers before Transformers One.

I wonder if the lack of a trailer is because they're looking to change release dates so they're not going up against Mufasa on the same exact opening day.

If there were production issues going on I wish they'd just let us know. It's more frustrating getting this close to release date and having no concrete information either way.

They can't even use movie 3 art at GamesCon to promote the movie because no official art has been released. This is one of the most bizarre rollouts of all time.

When did I list off any facts or state that I know anything going on with production?

The only thing I made speculation on was them trying to avoid releasing on the same day as Mufasa and I precluded it with the words "I wonder". Nowhere else did I guess or speculate anything.

Them using movie 2 assets to promote the movie at Gamescon isn't a guess either. It's literal reality.

I didn't say I know anything or speak on having any outsider knowledge. So explain exactly what you meant from my initial post? Or are you just being a jerk?

You may have started with "I wonder" but acting like Mufasa is a big threat is overselling it. Disney hasn't been on a hot streak lately. Paramount likely sees that and thus isn't afraid to have Sonic compete with it. There's a market for these two movies to be released at the same time. Besides, the other two movies had competition and did fine.

It is not a bizarre rollout. It's normal for movies to not get trailers this early. No Way Home in 2021 was only JUST getting it's teaser around now and that was a big Christmas movie. Paramount has plenty of time. They know their deadline and if they had to delay it, they would have already.

Christmas week is a highly competitive week. It's not uncommon for multiple high profile movies to come out at the same time or around each other. It's a very lucrative time for the industry. Paramount wouldn't have picked that date without expecting one of the other major studios to put something there too.

Paramount is going through a lot this year with the whole merger/buyout deals. They have other films to promote first before they get to Sonic 3. There is no point in dumping marketing money on promotional materials yet unless you're loaded with money like Disney. Things don't really ramp up until at least 2-3 months before release.

Like I said, wait for Transformers One. This is Paramount's next big family film they're promoting. Once that's out, they'll shift gears to their next family project and we should start to see something for Sonic 3.

Also, only NOW we're officialy 4 months away from the movie release; they're still begin consistent to what they did with Sonic 2. So the marketing should probably start soon, even if it means starting early September.

I'm not overselling anything by being curious if they don't want to be placed beside the prequel of the highest grossing animated movie of all time, at 1.7 billion, The Lion King (2019) and I'm allowed to guess Paramount wouldn't want something that could have heavy crossover audiences coming out on the same day.

And, no, most movies will have a trailer by now. Unless theyre HUGE like the MCU. Sonic 2s first trailer was 5 months before it came out. Spider Verse 2 was 5 months before it came out. Inside Out 2 was 4 months and 2 weeks out.

A movie having ZERO PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL 4 months before it came out is NOT normal. And has NEVER been normal.

(BTW Inside Out 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine are the two highest grossing movies this year. So much for Disney not being on a "hot streak".)

I'm asking again where I acted or said that I had all the facts because that's all I care about and you didn't respond to that part.

Paramount has most likely run the numbers and knows they can compete with Mufasa during the Christmas season.

Sonic 2's trailer was at the Game Awards 2021 in December. Sonic 2 came out in April 2022. We are on track here. Like Chimpo and I have said, this is normal for a promotional cycle for a movie. There is nothing to worry about.
