Sonic the Hedgehog Cinematic Universe Thread (& Knuckles)

Well, the Sonic 2 popcorn bucket also have re-used renders from Sonic 1 movie, if I remember correctly:

So it shouldn't be a surprise if they'll re-use some from Sonic 2 as well this time. Also, it wasn't just Sonic 3 popcorn bucket have leaked, it was from a bunch of other movies as well, the image was just cropped (I probably should have sent this image in first place on my other post):

It's a generic bucket from a third party licensor. They're going to use whatever assets they were given, and if this is just a round up of all the products they have lined up, they're not going to give a fuck about promoting the core aspect of any one individual movie.
I haven't seen any new bucket materials sliding my way yet so I can't verify this other than I know that there is a bucket coming. It should also be noted that various territories and chains could have their own bucket designs.

Also, it's obvious by now but there's no trailer in Despicable Me 4. I checked on Monday (lolol no double posting!!!) since I forgot it was a holiday week and there's no signs of it in the trail mixes. They could just drop the trailer online though.

 

Yeah at this point I am starting to believe it just a little. This Youtuber got copyright striked for making a video on the bucket and GamesCage also had his video on it removed. Granted this could just be a troll trying to stir up hype by using false claims to make it seem real, but it's at least some sort of update on this situation. Man we need a trailer...

 

Spoiler: Shadow

Welp. There it is, a clear look at Shadow's render. The popcorn bucket appears to be using the same render no it isn't what am I saying, the lighting is the same at least. It's real.

 

We're getting everything but the fucking trailer. I'm so normal with this.

At this point, I belive 100% the trailer will be show on San Diego Comic-Con. Too bad we'll have to wait ANOTHER month pratically to it be shown, because it's happening only 25–28
th...

 

Day by day this seems less and less like a joke

 

Seeing those figures makes me mad I will be unable to get a Shadow one that matches my Sonic one and actually has moving parts. It was genuinely the coolest figure I've ever had in my life and I was so ready to get the Shadow one as soon as it released, but it won't.

 

That's the 2.5" bundle. There will be an articulated 5" one as well.
But you are correct. They just scaled up all of Sonic 3's line to 5", compared to the 4" scale from Sonic 2. I just hope they're as good as in detail as Sonic 2's, but the drop in quality with the Prime toys has me doubtful.

 

Man, these movies really do not give a fuck about Tails, do they?

 

imo this is an outgrowth of the baffling decision to spend the entire first film focusing on sonic's relationship with Real Guy Cop™️. they should have just had sonic and tails in the first one from the jump - the fact that he has to share space with knuckles in the second movie (and they waste the rest of the time on the wedding nonsense) doesn't give them any time to focus on him.

 

Ah well, Tails is probably just in a different set with Jim Carrey and Shemar Moore.

 

I dont like shadow's face. They fucked up his eyes, they look too similar to sonic's compared to the angular silhouette they're supposed to have. Otherwise he looks good but I'm kinda disappointed after Tyson knocked it out of the park for the other three...

 

Seriously, if they don't spend the last 45 minutes of this film systematically executing every single police officer in the United States, I, as a shut-in obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog, will be VERY upset on the internet.

 

Skato the Vengeful One will burry the hatchet, get a Red Bull sponsorship and do a space jump.

 

I just remembered the first trailer of Sonic 2 have released just 4 months away before the movie release...

So I guess Paramount ins't doing anything out of ordinary here and maybe some of us are being a little to crazy for this trailer.

That said, this only means once the trailer releases, they'll surely go crazy with it. With all that in mind, this makes me belive even more we will get that trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con.

 

Right now they're putting all of their marketing efforts towards Transformers One and Gladiator 2. If they're saving a full trailer to attach to any of their own films, it would be T1.
But honestly, I was expecting at least a small teaser to drop by now. Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 were big movies. We might just have to wait for SDCC.

 

Can you blame us when it's adaptating one of the most influential games of this century?
Not to mention that Sonic 2 only started production in June 2021, over a year after the first came out, and just under a year before it came out.
Sonic 3 in comparison was announced immediately after 2 and we've been waiting over 2 years to see anything from it. So I think it's more than fair to desperately want to see even just 10 seconds after all this time. So far we've only gotten:
- A few poor quality set photos which seemed to show stuff from the Knuckles show rather than Sonic 3.
- A PG-13 rating from a Slovakian film board (Somehow 2 months before filming even finished)
- A logo with a Live and Learn stinger.
- Maria's actress pretending to be a body bag and reposting memes about being shot.
- Shadow's feet
- Confirmation of Live and Learn being in the movie.
- A description of an awesome sounding trailer (But don't you dare record it for the public to see)
- A proper render leak from fucking low quality plastic toys and buckets.
I think it's more than fair to be foaming at the mouth for this thing.

 

I'm kind of scared for the bad future(tm) where after many moons of nothing the movie just straight up gets cancelled out of the blue and there's no real content from it for ages
Maybe it's the Zaslav nightmares getting to me
