Those teeth are straight out of Nights. Love em. Looks to me like she's about to playbite Sonic's head which is too cute.

Take it from someone who has both the PS5 and Switch versions; whilst the Switch version looks worse, for once there isn't the problem of worse performance to contend with. It still runs at 60fps, which is the most important thing. And the PS5 version doesn't look that great to begin with. You won't be missing out.

Looks to me like she's about to realbite Sonic's head off and guzzle down the bloody juices of his giant cyclopian eyeball, which is too cute.

  4. I played on Series X first and then sold it once my JP Switch copy came and I had to travel to the US. While the Switch version does run surprisingly and decently well, there are definitely quite a few parts where the frame-rate stutters. I miss the better graphics of the high res one too, but I'm happy with the Switch game overall.

You're just minding your business enjoying Superstars and Starteam comes out with this.

you got thousands to plop down on a PC?
I would actually prefer 30fps to look better because it doesn't really make a difference but there's only so much a PS4 Pro can do.

Wouldn't this be more suited to its own thread instead of posting it here for some reason?

This would definitely help, though you could also take a page out of the prototype track's book and add the variant chord progression it uses for some textural differences.

Don't rule out adding extra notes, though! I'd argue putting a breakdown at the end of the track loop would be a good idea, since it would match the start of Act 2 and help break up the texture

  9. It runs well on your average low end pc.

why would I buy a low end pc to play games with graphics on the low end settings when I could just get a ps5 and know what I'm getting every time is going to be essentially the best it can be?

    And Also Spider-Man 2.

I'm just a little tired of seeing all these low resolution textures in my games and want to move on.

Do you only post from your phone? The assumption is that you're already on a PC capable of playing Superstars at high end settings. The specifications for it are incredibly low.

Yea Superstars is pretty dirt-cheap when it comes to requirements. The Steam Deck can run it at 60fps most of the time at max settings. The majority of PC's made in the last decade should run it just fine with some graphical adjustments.

I'm not going to stop you from getting a PS5, but you're going to be looking at some low-resolution textures in Superstars regardless of how you play it. Asset quality is pretty good on average but really inconsistent.

I just beat the game for the first time after buying it on Christmas. Solid 7/10. I was going to post my thoughts here but they ballooned into a 3000 word essay so I chucked it onto my dead Tumblr instead.

According to responses I got earlier in the thread, the Switch version is apparently the only console version to not have input lag. So I don't know if graphical fidelity is the most important element in a game that isn't graphics intensive in the first place.

  15. You could upgrade that low-end PC into a high-end one over time.

Also, considering SCE'S current business model, a PC port of Spider-Man 2 is likely closer than you think.

random thought but now that Steamboat Willie is in public domain, could SEGA just straight up make Mickey Mouse an unlockable skin in Superstars? Might as well throw in Oswald the Lucky Rabbit while we're at it

Because the number of games you can play on a PC, as well as the general utility, including mods for said games, is infinitely higher?

You can play 40 different versions of The Last of Us on the PS5 for 79.99 USD a piece. You can play 99% of the games ever made, ever, on a PC...usually for free.

  18. Sounds much better than that lame Steamboat Willie horror movie that we're going to eventually get.

Honestly it's just a gamble whether or not hardware you choose will play nice with any PC port of any game. Like I said, I'd rather keep the near certainty of a rarely changing piece of hardware.
From my understanding it's a little bit of a minefield when it comes to what you can and can't do with characters like this. I believe Sherlock Holmes keeps having issues with the people who own the remaining stories over arbitrary things like Holmes respecting women after previously supposedly not respecting women. I'm sure Disney will be vigilant about things like how eyes are drawn on the character and whether or not they're wearing the same clothes or other clothes given in the same year.
That said I'm sure SEGA isn't interested in adding a character to their series like that out of nowhere - even if Naoto is a big fan of Walt. (Also as a Japanese company I don't think they're granted the same rights to the film.)

Dude I just wanna play games, not spend a billion years adjusting settings and dodging notifications and likely getting sidetracked because I'm playing on something meant for more than just games. It's a very different experience and all the games in the world can't make up for it.

Is this a joke post? I doubt any major studios will be messing with the Mickey Mouse IP anytime soon nor do they really want to.
