They should have been cel-shading this shit by default YEARS ago, and now it's goddamn region locked? Fuck off, I'm stealing this you idiots.

For what it's worth, it took maybe a couple weeks for Frontiers modders to get the Korone skin working in all versions.

 

As soon as I read "exclusive to the Japanese Amazon copies" my jaw dropped in horror. This is a crime that should not go unnoticed.

 

It would be expensive to include the cel-shaded models DLC outside of Japan so it makes sense i guess...?

 

I don't understand the appeal of cel-shaded models in a game that is not cel-shaded. Won't they just look out-of-place?

 

Maybe, but they’re fun and I’ve wanted them to make a shading style like this for Sonic forever.

No, but I doubt people would be complaining if the Lego figures were Japan-only.

I guess I don't see these cel-shaded skins as a "must-have" the way some people do.

 

I think the issue is there is a very sizable amount of people genuinely interested in seeing a cell shaded sonic game overall, and they are giving us a tease of what that could be like, BUT its exclusive to amazon japan, so people are feeling burned.

The lego stuff is also very much more blatantly product placement/promotion.

 

As it turns out, the cel-shaded skins aren't exclusive to Japan - you can get them in the US.

Through Kroger. As part of their rewards program.

PC users get left out again like with the Amy skin. I guess they're just counting on us to mod it in the game?

Not really digging the recent DLC plans for Sega games.

Honestly I don't ever think there was any point I felt compelled to do that. Even now it would more fullfill completionist goals instead of genuine interest in a Cel Shaded skin.

 

Can SEGA just release a DLC in a normal way, please?!
