    I will have to say that this hack looks very impressive.

    And I do suggest, like others have, making it look more cartoony in level art and so on, it will make this hack very unique.
    Not counting Atomic Sonic I guess, it looked Cartoony to me. =P

    Why not have some Super-Mario-Bros. style music? I mean, It'd fit the atmosphere of this hack. Also I think that the title of the hack is not saying much because someone who doesn't know the hack and reads this title, he could think everything... (What, is the cartridge deformed?!?! :D) :thumbsup:

    The hack would also be given some thumbs-up if its style would just be a little more like Sonic 1 Atomic edition or something, but also without that the hack is awesome. Keep it up!

    The reasoning behind the music that is going in is the fact that I not only want this hack to have a fresh, unique look, but also it is the music that has inspired me in life, both on the computer and in the real world. But also because some of the music also comes from some very awesome video games =P.

    @Hitaxas: May I ask if Ice Cap zone also inspired you? Almost every Sonic fan has done a remix of it and IMO it's one of the most inspirating tunes ever.

    Oh by the way, the SUPER DEFORMED on the title screen is the only flaw in the game. It looks just like..... Some bad very old home-computer art. :)

    Edit: No, Ice Cap zone did not inspire me, even though it does have a good track to it.

    Double post to keep things up to date.

    S1SD is going to go through some major updates in the next few months. Such things as a new level select, an options screen, Partner system (maybe), Sonic 2's engine and MUCH MORE. Beta Testers will have to wait for a while too, because it's not just my work now. Varion Icaria is helping with this process. This will be done in a little less than a few weeks, if it goes as planned. I will still keep people posted on updates however. :)


    With all this in mind. The name of this hack has been changed from "Sonic One: Super Deformed" to "Sonic: Super Deformed", reason being is it will be much more than S1 once the updates have been completed.

    If you don't mind completely selling out, I guess this is a positive step forward... but you're going to learn absolutely nothing if everyone else does all the work for you without you understanding a damn thing about it.

    Porting hundreds of objects from other games for the sake of it is a horrible game plan. How about you concentrate less on aspects of the game that "rape every other Sonic game engine" (which is bullshit), and concentrate more on things that matter, such as level design? You're getting way in over your head.

    Tons of technical features don't make a hack great—it's proper application of technical features that really make the difference. Finally, get your head out of your ass—you're not Mr. Big Shit for working off somebody else's over-exaggerated "engine rewrite."

    I should also note that your music choices are seriously making me groan. You're adding music for the sake of adding it, and not to change the feel of the game in a positive manner with fitting music.
