Sonic Social Media Shenanigans (This totally just happened...)

Pretty sure that it'll be worth the wait.

So the April 1st thing.

Isn't there a "Sonic Adventure Music Experience" on April 2nd? That day in Japan is going to be half of April 1st in America/Europe.

Oh boy.

 

Yeah I'm not playing this guessing game either, I've already extracted enough information to know something is happening around the 20-21st of this month and again on the 1st. either way this all should end in a few weeks time. I've got other things to distract me in that time.

Well, have I not been saying people need to relax a little? I mean, it's greatly entertaining to see everyone excited and buzzing for numbers and for the first meaty tips of the celebration, but it's good to keep the hype in check.

Otherwise, hype will get too high and things that are good may not live up to extremely lofty expectations. OR, the disappointment won't be as severe.

Remember Sonic 4 well, since even this forum took one hell of a deep dive into madness over it.

Instead of all this teasing for this maybe new sonic title I'd like to know whats going on with Fire and Ice. we still haven't heard anything about it in quite awhile and from the looks of it we may have another case of Sonic X-treme here.

Why not just give us an update on that Ruby?

Not hard to see what's going on there.

-Game was meant to come out Nov. 2015
-Gameplay video looked rough/not very improved from Shattered Crystal
-SEGA announces initiative to stress quality assurance on titles to turn around the stigma that SEGA makes unfinished or rushed games
-Game is getting overhauled/extra love, focus tested to improve quality
-Is now going to be a 25th Anniversary title

We'll be seeing an update relatively soon.

 

They only thing I can think of for them to be taking soo long on an update is that they threw out everything and started over from zero, otherwise if its the same game we should've heard something about it by now overhaul or not.

 

Or maybe they just want to re-announce it alongside the main anniversary title, hence Boom Sonic in the promotional art for the 25th Anniversary.

At least I hope that's the case, as opposed to Boom Sonic being IN the Anniversary game in any form other than an optional skin; in which case I will not be happy.

 

It's only been like what, four months since when it was originally supposed to be released? And this is a game that originally only had a year of development time. If they want to make it decent than they'll probably need quite a bit more than that. It wouldn't surprise me if it won't be released until the end of the year.

 

If they treat Boom Sonic the way the comic and cartoon did, instead of how the first game did, I fully welcome it. :v:
