Sonic Social Media Shenanigans (This totally just happened...)

I guess we know to start eagle-eying new Sonic-related domain names on March 20th then.

 

Maybe some of it is just a red herring. :v:

 

I remember reading a rumor that the next game will feature switching between classic Sonic in 2d pixel form and modern Sonic in 3d form.
This is now supported by their recent referral to classic Sonic as "pixel Sonic", their new Twitter banner, and the recently tweeted video clip.

But the official 25th Anniversary promo images so far have been showing exactly that anyway - S1/pixel Green Hill transitioning into modern/3D Green Hill. That predates the 4chan rumour, so it's not a particularly difficult rumour to craft from what little we've seen.

 

So people have gotten this desperate for news they're willing to take 4chan seriously.

Bravo.

It's been ages since I played SA1, but is that a new voice clip from Big? It sounds more like Jon St John than his other VAs.

 

I skipped straight to 3:21 in just to be on the safe side. Of course, nothing. But I'm still listening. Because I mean, you never know and DANGIT RUBY WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME

 

Good, because after I posted, I had skipped ahead to what I thought might have been a quiet portion an hour in, but I was wrong, haha. Glad someone is filling in the gap.
