Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing

Amazon's got this 3-4 bucks cheaper, but that's a stretch.

All three versions got a 'B' a letter grade higher than Jeremy Parish's 'C' for Mario Kart Wii.

 

At the time, I was annoyed by that "C" but in retrospect I think it was fair. The online mode is kind of a mess, it just wasn't balanced for twelve people. SASR gives me hope because it caps at eight players.

I definitely want it, but I think I might also wait a bit. I paid full price for Sonic Unleashed only to see it on sale for almost half price just a few weeks later.

 

Bought the Wii version tonight at Wal-Mart.

REALLY cringed at the graphics (and the framerate) initially, but started not to care once I plowed through some of the missions and time trials. It becomes very addicting.

I think the drift mechanics are easier to pick up here than in Mario Kart, but harder to master.

So far, so good.

Yeah I'm definitely going to try this, Mario Kart Wii was so fucking bland that I seriously think this one might be more fun or at least equally fun. And who the hell doesn't want to play with Ryu Hazuki and "his" bike?

lame that the PS3 version gets nothing extra >_> good job I have all 3 systems now, 360 for me, installing may help any of thoses framerate problems I keep hearing about

So the DS version has the best framerate and unique music. It definitely has exclusive features =P.

Also, the launch trailer was already posted here, so we know about the Racing without thing =P.

 

Good lord, I hope you can turn that announcer off. After watching about 3 gameplay videos he is already making me want to vomit.

Is finding a NTSC version of this game that hard for anyone else? Seems only the PAL version has been dumped.

In case anyone is wondering, the Wii version plays identical to the 360/PS3 one. It's the exact same game, the Wii one has leftovers of Banjo, and Achievments left even, it's a direct port.

 

Well, that certainly explains a lot. I burned the Wii version yesterday and bought the 360 version today, and they played exactly the same.
