Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing

It's not on PSN yet; hopefully they'll be added on Thursday (tomorrow) since that's when PSN is updated.

 

I wonder if we'll see 360-only DLC regarding that, though. Missions seem like a cheap and easy gift to go along with some Character and Course DLC in the future, with those specialty Grand Prix and all. I'd be interested, that's for sure.

I'm actually surprised people are actually against it. I know his All-Star actually affects everyone, and not just people close by, but I feel that's just kind of cool. I've been playing the Demo a lot where he's a CPU and I'll tell ya, nothing is more epic than being on a sideways banked turn, drifting crazily around as you dodge jiggy rain and holding your coveted 1st place against Expert level computers. That was one of my most epic runs through the demo, and I ended up beating 2nd place by 10 seconds. Great fun.

Now let me see some B&K courses...

That trophy seems impossible to me anyway, I mean, unless you happen to race against someone really retarded the chances of actually lapping a decent person is tricky, even on the Pirate Monkey Ball stage, I won that race and five other people didn't even finish!

 

I got it by coordinating it in a friend race. I've only ever lapped a person legitly once after that.

 

Casual scrubs. I've lapped several people already and got the trophy and achievement to prove it.

 

Same here. Actually, I got all the trophies completely legitimately, safe for some of the secret ones that require you to attack a specific character with another specific character's All-Star move.

Edit: Played a couple of races
Metal Sonic is an awesome addition just like I wanted. I love how his model has a reflection similar to Sonic's car.
His All-star + - is a little weird to me. His vehicle morphs shape a bit and a green cylinder appears in front of him which damages enemies. Not sure what it suppose to refer? Any idea's?  

Death Egg is an awesome map. Just doesn't remind me much of it much but it still looks great. Egg Fleet (<3) was an awesome choice for a music track. It makes the race feel more epic. Still yet to go through the rest of the music, but they were mentioned earlier in the thread from memory. The layout itself has some cool concepts, eg. small ramps at the start that take you to item boxes hovering in the air.

There's still no new announcer voice acting for the map or Metal Sonic T.T

You do notice the reference of both the Bosses of Death Egg and Doomsday Zone.

 

Yeah, It'd be nice if they could get some more announcer quotes for Metal Sonic and the Avatar

I really hope this comes online soon, infact im going out to buy a points card now just to get it

Its also really nice to hear some Sonic the Fighters music XD

 

Guys please hold on a few hours for buying the DLC, as its currently being listed at the wrong price! (It'll be going down you'll be pleased to know)

Whoa, hold on a minute. Are you saying that the removal of the DLC from PSN last week wasn't to make sure that both 360 and PS3 owners would get a fair treatment by getting the content at the same time, but rather to make sure that 360 owners get it first and PS3 owners get nothing / have to wait longer? Wow. That's nice. Thanks. I don't feel undermined at all. =/

Man dosent that groudon199 guy have the record on nearly every course, his name seems really familiar :/

 

^ He's a contender at TSC (here's his profile) and an advocate of the shortccut glitch. He also frequents Sonic boards on GameFAQs, and recently made an Achievements FAQ for this game. You'll notice from that link that GerbilSoft and I put up TSC rankings for this game to give them another place to practice their competitive glitching, but I kind of doubt that this will stop them from using the glitch online (I'm trying very hard to stay out of the glitching debate, so please don't ask my opinion on it :P).

yeah I actually just saw some of that after downloading the new content, 8 second lap in that Jetset level? I think 3-4 of the corses have been broken now

Well I don't assume that anyone would "race" them more than once, when a normal person gets round the first corner and the 30 second timer comes up >_> I don't recon they would use it much online though, its probably one of thoses things you only get right one time in 10 or 20, the margins are usally pretty small.

 

According to the Sega blog we're not getting the DLC on the PS3 until the 22nd April.
