Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing

You know, it kinda strikes me odd that Ristar is the cameo character and Metal Sonic is the racer.

...since, you know, it seems Metal Sonic would be the perfect character to be wagging his finger at you in a robotic Sonic-based Death Egg stage.

 

Except Metal Sonic has a huge following while Ristar is more for the super hardcore fans.

Metal Sonic will be more identifiable to people than Ristar. That said, I wouldn't count it out quite yet.

I've had this game for ps3 for a week now but havent touched it coz I've been busy D:

Am I the only one that likes the commentator guy? Makes me feel like I'm playing a sports event.

And no, I don't play sports games whether the commentators there do the same things or not.

 

I played with the commentary off.

The game just feels so empty without him .

 

It does actually. Even though you cringe every once in a while when he says something insanely stupid, turning him off just makes it feel like there isn't as much going on.

 

Yeah, the commentator's pretty awesome. He almost never fails to at least get me to chuckle. Metal Sonic and the Death Egg not getting new commentary was kind of disappointing, though I guess it does make sense because they'd have to bring him back in to do it.

Not for me. When he says something insanely stupid, I usually crack up because of it. Sometimes it's so stupid that it's amazing.

 

I have heard some of the commentary, and I am not sure whether they genuinely thought it was smart of what they were making him say, or if it was a mock of these types of commentaries.

 

Latest commentary I cracked up at:

When you win the race as Ulala, sometimes the commentator ends his announcement with a meek "Call me!"

...that doesnt equate to $5. Whats the deal? Why are PS3 owners (Like me) getting screwed over on pricing?

 

When you're charged for something that was free in certain areas if you pre-ordered from a specific place, especially when if it's just a skin that does nothing but change a character's vehicle to his all-star vehicle, I think we all get screwed over.

Regardless, that is a good point. If there were any difference in pricing, PS3 owners shouldn't be affected because the PSN store uses real currency, not some arbitrary points.

 

Sure as hell doesn't happen here. I remember buying Wii and Microsoft point cards back when the Canadian Dollar was a bit more valuable than the US Dollar (I think that was when the economy had just started crashing) and still paying more than if I'd bought them in the US.

 

So, is the Metal and Death Egg pack back up yet? I want it really bad.

 

I haven't had the commentary on since day 1.

It's probably just different tastes again. Some people think he's annoying. I think he's amazing.

I'd say give him another go for a couple of races. If you still hate him, you can always turn him back off.
