Sonic Rush Adventure officially announced

...pirates? What the fuck?

Are they trying to take a secret rings approach to this? That doesn't seem like a good idea to me, I'm getting sick of the "real world" references - Sonic is meant to be surreal.

Those screens look like utter ass. Everything about that looks horrible. Jesus christ.

 

Is there any doubt that the screenshot there is a mockup? I mean, the foreground and background contrast sharply, and the hills at the top are way too Mario-esque. Of course, I'd have liked to believe that the name itself were a joke, but then, y'know, they wouldn't have patented it and all.

EDIT: Through some inexplicable mixup, I figured there was only one screenshot there. It's pretty obvious all this stuff is real, so yeah, whoops

 

Seems to be a lot of Sonic/pirate combos lately. Why make Sonic a pirate? He's supposed to be fighting Eggman in random places that make no sence what so ever. Sonic + any thing from reality = NO

I'm giving this game a chance though. It is a sequal to Sonic RUsh, which was good, and this game seems early in development, so the enivornments are probably just temporary or incomplete. Let's wait and see. But yay at Snow levels and wifi matches

EDIT: AUTUMN 2007? WTF PEOPLE! Why can't they take time on their fucking games? Haven't they learned anything yet? Want to know what happens when you rush a game? Sonic 06.

 

All they need to do to make this good is take Sonic Rush and put in some different levels (as long as the layouts are good, that is). I'm not fond of the pirate theme, but it's hardly as if that's going to stop me from buying the game.

 

Whatever happened with them 'taking a break from Sonic games'?

 

Well, there're pirates. It's hardly a Sonic game. : P

To be fair, I think that mushroom level looks cool (I have a thing for glowing mushrooms), but if this is ANYTHING short of an ideal game I swear I'll blow up all of japan

Even though the pirate theme seems like a stupid idea at first, it might actually turn out to be good, later on. Just take Donkey Kong Country 2, for example. There were a bunch of pirates to fight in that game, as well. Oh, and I hope that they somehow manage to fit Blaze into this game.

Actually, Mario style level art aside, this looks very good in my opinion.

 

I am so glad I have one of these, because this is not worth buying.
