Sonic Rumble, a "Fall Guys" inspired game coming this winter

I really do hope they have some way to use a single profile across multiple devices as well as generally sync your purchases and progress. It's ridiculous they haven't implemented a system like that for the mobile games already so you're bound to lose your stuff sooner or later, with only people who paid for something being able to recover anything.

 

Have I missed something, or has there been radio silence on this game for months now? It's meant to be dropping this year, but there's only 30 days left of the year and, so far as I can tell, there's been zero marketing. Would've expected such a thing to start up mid-late November once Shadow had been out a bit, but it's like the game's just dropped off the face of the earth. A real shame too, I'd really come around on looking forward to it.

 

They've been doing a slow international roll out.

You can actually play it right now if you make an account in one of the markets it's already out on. That or pull the APK from somewhere.

I did actually see if I could even get it on mobile yet (though I really don't plan to play until it hits Steam) and still ain't available in the UK.

Kinda hilarious this is a Thanksgiving skin, which is an American holiday... when the game is not available in America officially.

 

It's available in Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving... But in October... And for entirely different reasons in which the imagery of pilgrims are not involved.

When you do you contribute to an overall goal to where everybody earns a bunch of different rewards ending in a free movie Sonic skin.

 

Nothing particularly groundbreaking here, but I appreciate this arc we've had with the past three Sonic games where the game progressively looks better as its marketing cycle plays out (Superstars who?).

I do wonder what the holdup is around releasing the game in the US. There might be a good reason, I just don't know what it is.

 

I wonder if they're trying to optimize it as best as they can before the global release. Many of the gameplay videos I've seen (including some of the official trailers) run terribly. Ironically this game would have actually benefited from being Apple exclusive (and only having to run on a few tiers of device) lol

I do recall them saying the Feb 28 date was placeholder on the game's site, but either way I hope it comes out soon I want my Crystal Zavok

 

They're probably waiting to everyone see Sonic 3. They know franchise will get new kids, so they're probably waiting for a good timing.
