    Sonic Quest is a classic Sonic fangame where Sonic and Tails have to stop Dr. Robotnik from destroying the planet with his brand new machine, the Steampunk Egg!
    Story:
    The game takes place on Emerald Island, which is a convex island, hidden underneath Angel Island. Legends say that the Island is the origin of the Echidna Tribe, the Master Emerald and the Chaos Emeralds; it also possesses other powerful gems. Robotnik detects an energy source from this Island and obtains the Discord Stone and harnesses its power into his newest machine: The Steampunk Egg. Sonic and Tails catch wind of his plans and decide to go and stop his nefarious plans before he gets a chance to destroy the whole planet!

    Zones:
    The game will have six zones with 2 acts:
    Riverside Valley Zone (100% Done)
    Petal Park Zone (100% Done)
    Chaotic Casino Zone (100% Done)
    Frantic Forest Zone (60% Done)
    Wild Waterworks Zone (30% Done)
    Egg Gauntlet Zone (technically everything is done, i just need to get all the bosses done and implement the layouts.)
    Steampunk Egg (Needs to be coded)

    Credits:
    DarkVampireDee, WizToad, KeatonThFox and MrLevRocks for Riverside Valley Zone.
    MrLevRocks, WizToad, Overbound (background) and Dolphman for Petal Park Zone.
    WizToad and Dolphman for helping with various other sprites and Chaotic Casino Zone.
    DerZocker for the base for Wild Waterworks.
    Deno for helping with some of Sonic's sprites and Anne for some of Sonic's sprites.
    Badniks mostly by Dolphman.
    DanielMania for Titlecard Font.
    SPEED, Karl Brueggemann and TheBlurCafe for the music.
    Pvic, John-Kun and Aleks for some coding help.
    I believe that's it so far, if I forgot to credit anyone, please tell me!

    (Warning: If you do play the second demo, watch out for Chaotic Casino, there is a badnik that crashes the game.)
    I will also try my best to make updates as often as possible.
    PS: You can use F4 to change resolution in both the old and new versions.
    PS2 (Hah): I am looking for people who are good at making layouts and coding in Game Maker Studio, by the way.

    I gave the demo a try but I have to admit I didn't notice anything distinguishing it from any other Green/Emerald Hill Zone remake. Everything is well programmed--good array of enemies, the 360 movement works fine, you can even do the peelout and stuff--but the layout is pretty basic and there's nothing unique. This kind of zone serves a purpose as the backdrop for a tutorial to introduce the player to unique features about your game, but if everything is copied over from other games that your entire audience has already played, you need more than that to get people's attention. So the zone is called Sunshine Valley... okay, how are valleys distinct from hills? What features can you add that relate to sunshine? What can you do to bring it up to the uniqueness level of an Angel Island or even a Palmtree Panic?

    Lots of potential from this! I actually liked the assets from your old build of the level a bit better. I am hoping I played the demos in order.

    Hey! Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, i'm aware it's not too unique of a zone. It's changed a lot since that demo, and i've added more to the zone since then. And i've changed the zone name as it wasn't too relevant to the zone itself.

    In that case, well, I wasn't sure if it would actually fit. (plus that tileset wasn't really made for this game)

    Just came here to update, I just uploaded a new demo of the game.
    This is the last demo before I release the final game, which should approximately come out in a few months if everything goes well. Stay tuned!

    I'm aware, but the most I can say right now is to avoid those badniks in Chaotic Casino, I'll try to fix this as soon as possible though

    Finally fixed that badnik. Oddly enough only one of the shielded badniks actually works the way they should.

    New update! Finally started working on Aquapolis Zone, and renamed it to Wild Waterworks:

    Heh, as BlueSpeedster said, it actually is a remix of op 6 of One Piece.
