Action and animation continue to be fantastic, writing and characters continue to be not for me. I'll just keep coping and praying they bring back Sonic Boom one day.

Doesn't that TailsTube about the Multiverse imply that "Everything is cannon" is in effect, just that it doesn't all necessarily happen to the same Sonic?

It's got no extras, but damn it, it's an official physical release in the best possible quality you can buy for (a fair amount of) money.

When they tweet about it you bet your ass I'm going to ask about them potentially getting the rights to Mega Man Fully Charged.

 

...I don't want to discourage the idea of physical releases for media brought into the world by streaming services. I really don't. But just "season" 1? If we're not gonna wait for a full 24-episode set could we at least throw episode 9 in there to end on a half-decent sense of closure?

 

Netflix is probably releasing DVD rights by "season". Which might mean another release in summer and then another some time early next year. Eventually they'll probably have a full collection but otherwise it's going to be 3 separate releases.

 

Yeah, I assumed that much (if they follow through with it, at least). Episode 8 just seems like an even more unfortunate cutoff point for a physical release than it was for the initial streaming release. If I unknowingly bought that as a "season" of a show, I'd be frustrated at the unsatisfying cliffhanger it ends on.

 

Wait until you find out that a lot of TV seasons will end on a cliffhanger! Sometimes those are unsatisfying cliffhangers too!

 

Better yet when they get prematurely cancelled so you don't even get a resolution to that cliffhanger anyway!

 

Given how its not always assured with Nettlix shows that you'll even get a physical release I think fans of this series should be grateful this exists at all, regardless of how staggered it is.

 

Alright, alright, point taken. Maybe I just haven't watched enough serialized television.

 

Season 3 is just one long fight scene, really. It was the weakest season in my eyes.
