Hmm, you've got a decent point there. Well, there was the alternate US manual story that stated that Tails was just off vacationing solo after he's already known Sonic for a while. If anything, I'd place it after SA1, considering that was canonically the first time Tails ever felt accomplished for doing something on his own. But that's just getting into needless fan-revisionism I suppose. Story issues aside, Tails Adventure is a pretty neat game on its own. It has a really nice atmosphere and some great music.
Ngl know I kinda want a tails adventure remake done in the Sonic Advance sprite style. Then it can be moved to taking place after SA1. I also would be interested in seeing the advance sprite style being given the “Mania” treatment with increased frames and pallets. Anyways we ain’t getting this in origins plus. I honestly can’t wait for origins plus to be announced. I wanna know if Headcanon’s back
Because taking down a technological empire =/= exuding confidence and being cool, which is actually why Tails started following Sonic and Tails didn't actually hesitate to help Sonic with Robotnik, as if he's fought something like that before? Not to mention your same issue applies with Sonic Adventure. What, he took down the Battle Kukku a year ago, but panics and has to psyche himself up before fighting Robotnik in the Egg Walker? Regardless, this isn't the topic for this, so let's just agree to disagree.
I don't love it but I'll give it this much over the stuff from the mobile S1&2 releases: it's fuckin snappy. Game shows an extra screen and then after I select a character I am in the game. I still don't understand why they didn't let clear files unlock a level select in the mobile ports of S1&2. That said, if they were to change this they ought to give every game an 'exit' option on this screen before getting into a save menu, because otherwise you're still going to run into the clashing popup with the 'do you want to quit?' screen. Honestly I'm a little more irritated that they never expanded the S3 save count past 8. If they'd added another slot it would have been possible to have a save for each character with 0, 7, and 14 emeralds (thus making all the 'clear' icons visible from a single screen). I acknowledge this is dumb and nitpicky.
I'm pretty sure if Sonic simply "exuded confidence" without actually doing anything cool, there wouldn't be much reason for anyone to look up to him. If that's what ties Tails to Sonic, then that deserves to be overwritten on account of being stupid. Also, acting as if there was any exposition on Tails' opinion on fighting Robotnik is pure headcanon. I didn't say anything about Sonic Adventure. I was explicitly making a case for Tails's game needing revision because of inconsistencies like this.

I’m not saying that the tailstube has direct info about Origins plus. It’s highlighting elements of the franchise (specifically Amy Rose and multiple dimensions) that are supposedly relevant in Origins plus. Given how Tailstube tied in to Frontiers’ marketing I don’t think this is a big stretch
I believe @The Joebro64 even though I don't really have any reason to believe him. But yeah the Tails Tube saying those details backs up what hes saying. I hope Amy is playable. Would hope for Metal Sonic too.
I can assure you I'm not lying; I'm relaying exactly what I heard, and I trust the person I got it from. (I'm allowed to share it as long as it can't be traced back to them.) I heard Origins Plus was going to become official this month in December 2022. Dunno if that's changed. I think it's possible it has but I haven't heard anything else.
My gut tells me that since we got the tailstube this week we could get an announcement next week. Maybe that’s just wishful thinking tho. Honestly I just want to know if Headcanon’s back. At the same time I would hate for them to have crunched again for Plus so I can wait if it’s in the interest of their health
Unfortunately, no. Amy and the new games potentially including some Game Gear entries are the only specific things I've heard. (Which aren't even the things I want to know, I wanna know if I can finally fuckin play as Knuckles in Sonic CD)
He's saying in December 2022 he was told Origins Plus would get some kind of official conformation in March 2023.
