Sonic Movie 3 - Spoiler Thread (Open spoilers within, beware)

Boy have I got the movie for you:

 

No thanks. I like them but I don't need another Sonic 2.

 

I'm not a fan of Rachel. They never give a reason for why she hates Tom so much, so she just seemed to be a witch with a capital b.

 

Aren't there rumors of a Shadow mini-series? She could play a larger role in that, if it exists.

 

There are no rumours about a Shadow series, it's just hopeful wishing and jokes about Shadow bowling.

 

The only rumor for a tv series that I recall is for a chatoix spinoff

 

The Knuckles TV series doesn't necessarily leave me excited for the idea of a Shadow TV Series but if they learned from the criticisms and mistakes of that show, it could be interesting.

Given how popular the character is and how much individual lore he has, I think it could work. Or even a spin off movie down the line is the movies audience ever grows enough that a Shadow solo film seems like a profitable endeavor.

 

I didn't mean this lmao. Just slightly more screentime than 3 gave them. Feels weird to bring those actors in for barely anything.

 

With guns and swearing and space Satan!!!

 

I mean, I like them, but I would still rather see more funny CG creatures take the focus rather than giving Adam more screen time. I need my crocodile with headphones on screen NOW!

Or finally give the Deadline comments guy a rest and give him Silver.

 

If a Shadow the Hedgehog film isn't basically just a John Wick movie with Shadow using guns, cursing, and black doom aliens getting stomped out instead of normal humans (all in very stylized and cool ways) ,don't even bother making it.

 

Screw the Shadow Show, I want a show where reporter Brenda Hernandez and the Chaotix try to get to the bottom of the Blue Devil myth, or something along those lines.

 

Vector genuily looks good in this btw.

 

I was disappointed Rachel wasn’t actually in it...she’s not. It’s a disguise.

I was hoping she meets Shadow. That could have been funny.

 

Frankly I feel like if they’re giving Shadow his own production, they could make it a feature length movie.

 

That's because he looks good in everything he's in. Honestly, we need more Sonic media to include Vector

 

Hopefully, they'll still do a cameo but I'm glad the films focus more on the Sonic characters now... giving them more airtime and screen time on their own given this is after all a Sonic film and for me it's what made Sonic 3 so good and the best in the series so far. I do have to say Jim Carrey also made Sonic 3 so good that dance scene is worth the price of entry alone. It's very rare I laugh out loud in a cinema but couldn't help it with that part...it really pushed my button

 

When they do Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (2027), one thing I hope for if the Little Planet is involved, or if Mobius is used in its stead, and not just the time travel from it is that they take inspiration from Doctor Who's The End of Time, Part 2.

Specifically, when Gallifrey appears next to Earth after being pulled out of the Time War, because that visage is something that's always stuck to me, of a planet 'falling' upon the Earth because there's not really much you can do to stop it.

Imagine the Little Planet/Mobius about to collide with Earth as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy attempting to stop the Brotherhood of Metallix/the Time Stones from causing the collision.

Wow, a positive opinion on The End of Time that's not just about the last fifteen minutes. That's a rare one. I would have just invoked Majora's Mask for such a comparison.

While Majora's Mask has a similar situation, the Moon hovers above Termina and slowly descends over the 3 days.

The End of Time, Part 2 example has the planet pulled out of time to a new place, hence the use as an example since, y'know, time travel. Just have the Little Planet/Mobius fade in 'above' the Earth and you've got your climatic "race to stop it" final act.

Hence the usage of that: because it's sudden and a race to stop, rather than the slow demise of a people.
