That's great. I'll be sure to download it when I get home. Even if it's old, someone's got to put some footage of it up on youtube!

(Unless you or anyone else from Megamix has done so already on one of your vids that were meant to be previews for forthcoming versions, in which case, someone who's not from Team Megamix. :P)

EDIT: Hoo boy, this is some interesting stuff. I'm at Dark Fortress. It uses Robjoe's layout from the 3.0 version, but has the old blue palette. Yeah, this is gonna be fun to record when I get the chance. :P

That build had some interesting stuff. It really is amazing how far Team Megamix has come along especially since it used to be the idea of team projects would always fail. I remember several people used to start teams and have great concepts, but rarely got anywhere if actual content.

Also because I know I have tons of old stuff on my hard drive I found what is I believe one of the first builds of Sonic 2 Megamix from 2005 back when it was just you working on Megamix. There's nothing particularly interesting in it, but shows how this idea of the Megamixs has been going on for nearly half a decade now.

That's nice, I played through the game yesterday, and I see some familiar old zones from Version 2.0, but with new level layouts, and music. And it's also a nice release (Even though it's old).

And I recorded a Zone Playthrough Video of Dark Fortress Zone Act 1 from this build for anyone's viewing pleasure.

Hello, I'm Hitstun. I just ran Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix v4.0b on my Justin.tv feed and the chatters agree with me that this game is amazing. There were a few little bugs we ran into along the way where I would randomly get stopped somewhere or get stuck and need to run the timer out, but we quickly forgot them when we saw the next zone or heard the next music track. I think this is the best romhack I've ever played, and I'm totally going to check this out again when more parts are implemented. Keep up the awesome work!

I ran the main game blind with Tails and it's been archived on Justin.tv. The playthrough/demonstration/bug test/rave review is divided into 9 parts:
    Boot to Sunny Shores
    Dark Fortress
    City Outskirts
    Misty Maze
Starry Night Acts 1 and 2
Starry Night Act 3 and Metallic Base Act 1
Metallic Base Act 2 to End
Credits, Sound Test, and Sonic and Mighty Time Attack
    Shadow Time Attack

I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix that spot in SNZ where everyone gets stuck. It's a mystery...

I know how, bypass it by changing the spring to a diagonal. :v: Leave the curve for aesthetic.

You mean the spot in Starry Night Zone 2? Can you just have the player run into the wall right below the spot and land on a red spring? That would give the player more than enough speed to get through there.

Don't get your hopes up like that. :v:

I honestly haven't played this in a long time. I suppose I'll give it a go and try to comment if I have time.

Very annoying when there are bumps of topics, and I expect a major (or at least minor) update to the game, but I only got a single comment about praise and stuff. What a waste. :(

Also a waste of forum space when you complain about wasting forum space and not contributing to the topic. =P

Anyway, I still get that collision bug in SLZ, but other than that, I still love this hack. Keep being awesome, guys.

Hello everyone, this is my first post.
This Sonic Megamix is awesome, I really enjoy it! I hope you (the developers) know how this game has made me feel. It's way better than Sonic 1 itself! I hope you succeed making this hack even better, and I really love the addition of it being on the Sega CD. My favorite features of this hack is the Homing Attack, the new characters, defenitley Shadow's running (finally, someone got Shadow's running right. Who made the sprites?), the unique choice of music, and lots of other neat stuff.
Well, that's what I have to say for now. Well done Team Megamix! I love your work, and good luck with your other projects and hacks! Good luck! :)

I'm in a bit of a pickle. In shadow's game, after the first boss, I can't go round the loop, I just run straight through it, and fall through the wall to my death.
Anyone else found this? It seems it's only in shadow's game.

Same for me once, I went straight through the loop and died. It's annoying and it's only with Shadow.

I have found a bug that if you go to the options and set the mode (or the levels you are playing) to original, and then select extra mode, you will play Green Hill Zone, as normal. Eventually (after act 3) you will go to act 4, thus crashing the game, since there is no Act 4 (resulting in the automatic restart of the console). Executing this bug deletes your data in Megamix (I may be wrong). It's something to do with the fact that extra mode adds an "Act 4" in every level, as you may know. I hope I have helped get rid of bugs.
