Sonic Lost World (Wii U, 3DS, PC) Megathread

I'm super okay with this.

 

Huh, this may be the first time I'm actually glad it's not the usual Unleashed gameplay. Maybe this means the 3DS version won't be just another Rush clone, and, maybe if I'm lucky, it'll be actual 3D instead of 2.5D

 

I feel really bad for any Sonic fan with motion sickness problems.

Also, I'm calling this game "Hedgehog of Persia X-Treme". It fits.

 

Here's hoping 60fps gameplay and 3DS version not Dimps!

 

That's... that's actually looking pretty good. Hopefully I'll be able to get a Wii U or a 3DS by the end of the year.

Gotta say I'm genuinely interested in Lost World now. I'll be keeping a close watch on it.

 

Amazing. I'm lost for words. There were already a couple of games I'd like to play on the WiiU, but this game is buying the console for me. =P

 

Serious Mario Galaxy vibes from that, definitely a good thing though! Awesome to have a trailer like this release on my birthday.

The new running animation is something I'll have to get used to seeing from behind, though. Looked fine in Brawl, but...

 

I like what I'm seeing a lot. :o

 

Looks really good. Definitely has a strong Xtreme vibe and the enviroments looks really sick, just like the classic games but in 3D (actually, it looks like Green Hill with those clouds in the background). The Badnik look pretty good too and the game seems slower compared to Unleashed/Colours/Generation. Very interested in seeing something more.

 

Sweet the game looks awesome, but damn I thought the new characters were going to grant Sonic new abilities. (Of course I'm glad I was wrong though... :v Yep I'll be definitely saving up to get a Wii-U even more now, at least for now I have my 3DS to fall back on. Also a new game that plays similar to what Sonic Xtreme could have been is definitely okay in my book too!

 

Looks like Classic Sonic rubbed off on Modern a little bit, with the old style-ish jump noise and whirly feet. The lack of apparent boosting ability leads me to believe they either scrapped it entirely or took a more Colors approach with it. Also, I agree with Dario, the lighting looks a lot flatter than Unleashed/Generations. Still, if this gets an E3 demo and perhaps subsequent Best Buy Wii U demo station release, I'm all over it. I still lack money for new consoles, and it hurts even more that I'm chipping in for a Wii U for my brother's wedding registry .

 

Sonic is quite friendly with Mega Man nowadays, and the basic enemies imply that there is a mustached scientist somewere, Sonic might gain some abilities... by force.

The game itself looks great, it's the X-treme that we didn't got back then.

 

Okay, that looks impressive as fuck.

I just hope the 3DS version will feature the same type of gameplay (and maybe the same levels so I won't have to buy a Wii U D: ).

 

SEGA please please please don't screw this up, please, make it right. It just might be my third favorite game about Sonic.

The trailer theme. looks like its the same deal as Sonic Generations, no real in-game music until enough footage of it has been shown.

 

Okay, NOW buying a WiiU is justified. That trailer looked kinda hot.
