Sonic Jam Animation

I love how it also uses Hall of the Mountain King, as well as ripping off several different scenes of AoSTH.

Its definitely what I wish AoSTH would've been though.

 

As my memory serves, this was a pitch animation for a new (as of 1996 or 1997) Sonic TV series or anime, or something. I can't remember where I heard it - I think it was some informational tidbit surrounding Sonic X. It ends on "To Be Continued..." because it was intended to get made in to a fully fledged series.

Obviously, it never happened.

So, think of it like a digitally animated, Japanese take on this:



And yes, TMS did animate this. TMS also animated certain segments for Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, etc.

 

Exactly this, wouldn't be surprised if it was the same animation studio too.

 

The use of 2D and 3D animation is what always interested me in this amazing short. That, and its use of Sonic CD music. :v:

Anyone else noticed the city not only resembles Station Square, but also San Francisco? (and thus also City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2)
