Not having played the demo yet, but wouldn't it be easier on the eyes to make the camera fixed when sonic is going through the loop instead of moving around.
This is something I do plan to look into at some point. One stage later on has a rather large loop, and the camera isn't very nice while running in it, which is what made me think about the issue in the first place.
So far this is looking absolutely delicious. My main issue, as others have said, is the huge contrast between foreground and background details. The background: The foreground is... some wood.

Honestly your work is looking fantastic so far! You seem to have learned your away a lot around Unreal & GDK.
Everything is well done. But I have the same problem with your game as I have with recent 3D Sonic games : I feel that Sonic is running in a world that is not at the same scale as his, in a world a little too big for him. Might be just me. Keep it up anyway !
Thanks for your feedback! Update for those who are interested - there is a lot of progress being made. Right now, the first, second and fourth zones are complete. The third and fifth are underway. There are 2 more zones to put in the game, possibly three. I have no idea when I'l finish the game, or even when I'l do any kind of update. The being said, I do intend to show more of the game off early next year, and hopefully to get some help along the way.
I put together a trailer. What do you think?
The new screenshots and trailer look great. It really does seem to have improved over what it first looked like, especially visually.
You have made a lot of great progress with this project. Great to see things turning out well here. Really do enjoy the running animation implemented. Keep it up!
The stuff I've seen in here so far is awesome. Once you achieve your goals with it, have you given consideration to possibly working with Unreal Engine 4?
